Colossians 3:12-25

12So, as those who have been 1chosen of God, holy and beloved, 2put on a 3heart of compassion, kindness, 4humility, gentleness, and 5 6patience; 13 7bearing with one another, and 8forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; 9just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also. 14In addition to all these things put on love, which is 10 11the perfect bond of 12unity. 15Let 13the peace of Christ, to which you were 14indeed called in 15one body, 16rule in your hearts; and 17be thankful. 16Let 18the word of 19Christ richly dwell within you, 20with all wisdom 21teaching and admonishing 22one another 23with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, 24singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 25Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, 26giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

18 27Wives, 28be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 29Husbands, love your wives and do not become bitter against them. 20 30Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing 31to the Lord. 21 32Fathers, do not 33antagonize your children, so that they will not become discouraged.

22 34 35Slaves, obey those who are your 36human masters in everything, 37not with 38eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. 23Whatever you do, do your work 39heartily, 40as for the Lord and not for people, 24 41knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward 42of 43the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you 44serve. 25For 45the one who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and 46 47that without partiality.
