Colossians 1:14-29
141in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
152He is the 3image of the 4invisible God, the 5firstborn of all creation: 16for 67by Him all things were created, 8both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether 9thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities--10all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17He 1112is before all things, and in Him all things 13hold together. 18He is also the 14head of 15the body, the church; and He is 16the beginning, 17the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19For 18it was 19the Father’s good pleasure for all 20the 21fullness to dwell in Him, 20and through Him to 22reconcile all things to Himself, 23whether things on earth or things in 24heaven, having made 25peace through 26the blood of His cross.
21And although you were 27previously alienated and hostile in attitude, engaged in evil deeds, 22yet He has now 28reconciled you in His 29body of flesh through death, in order to 30present you before Him 31holy and blameless and beyond reproach-- 23if indeed you continue in 32the faith firmly 33established and steadfast, and not shifting from the 34hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed 35in all creation under heaven, 36and of which I, Paul, 37was made a 3839minister.
2440Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh 41I am supplementing what is lacking 42in Christ’s afflictions in behalf of 43His body, which is the church. 2544I 45was made a minister of this church according to the 46commission from God granted to me for your benefit, so that I might 47fully carry out the preaching of the word of God, 26that is, 48the mystery which had been hidden from the past ages and generations, but now has been revealed to His 49saints, 27to whom 50God willed to make known what 51the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is 52Christ in you, the 53hope of glory. 28We proclaim Him, 54admonishing every person and teaching every person 55with all 56wisdom, so that we may 57present every person 5859complete in Christ. 29For this purpose I also 60labor, 61striving 62according to His 63power which 64works mightily within me.
