2 Timothy 1:8-14
8Therefore 1do not be ashamed of the 2testimony of our Lord or of me 3His prisoner, but join with me in 4suffering for the 5gospel according to the power of God, 9who 6saved us and 7called us with a holy 8calling, 9not according to our works, but according to His own 10purpose and grace, which was granted to us in 11Christ Jesus from 12all eternity, 10but has 13now been revealed by the 14appearing of our Savior 15Christ Jesus, who 16abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, 1117for which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher. 12For this reason I also suffer these things; but 18I am not ashamed, for I know 19whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to 20protect what I have entrusted to Him 21until 22that day. 1323Hold on to the 24example of 25sound words 26which you have heard from me, in the 27faith and love which are in 28Christ Jesus. 14Protect, through the Holy Spirit who 29dwells in us, the 3031treasure which has been entrusted to you.
