2 Corinthians 4:7-18
7But we have this treasure in 12earthen containers, so that the extraordinary greatness of 3the power will be of God and not from ourselves; 8we are 4afflicted in every way, but not 5crushed; 6perplexed, but not despairing; 97persecuted, but not 8abandoned; 9struck down, but not destroyed; 1010always carrying around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that 11the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11For we who live are constantly being handed over to death because of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal flesh. 12So death works in us, but life in you.
13But having the same 12spirit of faith, according to what is written: “13I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak, 14knowing that He who 14raised the Lord Jesus 15will also raise us with Jesus, and will 16present us with you. 15For all things are 17for your sakes, so that grace, having 1819spread to more and more people, will cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16Therefore we 20do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our 21inner person is 22being renewed day by day. 17For our momentary, 23light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18while we 24look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
