2 Corinthians 11:14-33
14No wonder, for even 1Satan disguises himself as an 2angel of light. 15Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, 3whose end will be according to their deeds.
164Again I say, let no one think me foolish; but if you do, receive me even as foolish, so that I also may boast a little. 17What I am saying, I am not saying 56as the Lord would, but as 7in foolishness, in this confidence of boasting. 18Since 8many boast 9according to the flesh, I will boast also. 19For you, 10being so wise, tolerate the foolish gladly. 20For you tolerate it if anyone 11enslaves you, if anyone 12devours you, if anyone 13takes advantage of you, if anyone 14exalts himself, if anyone 15hits you in the face. 21To my 16shame I must say that we have been 17weak by comparison.
But in whatever respect anyone else 18is bold--I am 19speaking in foolishness--I too am bold. 22Are they 20Hebrews? 21So am I. Are they 22Israelites? 23So am I. Are they 2425descendants of Abraham? 26So am I. 23Are they 27servants of Christ?--I am speaking as if insane--I more so; in 28far more labors, in 29far more imprisonments, 3031beaten times without number, often in danger of 32death. 24Five times I received from the Jews 33thirty-nine lashes. 25Three times I was 34beaten with rods, once I was 35stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent adrift at sea. 26I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my 36countrymen, dangers from the 37Gentiles, dangers in the 38city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea, dangers among 39false brothers; 27I have been in 40labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in 41hunger and thirst, often 42without food, in cold and 4344exposure. 28Apart from such 45external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for 46all the churches. 29Who is 47weak without my being weak? Who is 48led into sin 49without my intense concern?
30If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my 50weakness. 31The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, 51He who is blessed forever, 52knows that I am not lying. 32In 53Damascus the ethnarch under Aretas the king was 54guarding the city of the Damascenes in order to seize me, 33and I was let down in a basket 55through a window 56in the wall, and so escaped his hands.
