2 Corinthians 11:14-33
14No wonder, for even 1Satan disguises himself as an 2angel of light. 15Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, 3whose end will be according to their deeds.
164Again I say, let no one think me foolish; but if you do, receive me even as foolish, so that I also may boast a little. 17What I am saying, I am not saying 56as the Lord would, but as 7in foolishness, in this confidence of boasting. 18Since 8many boast 9according to the flesh, I will boast also. 19For you, 10being so wise, tolerate the foolish gladly. 20For you tolerate it if anyone 11enslaves you, anyone 12devours you, anyone 13takes advantage of you, anyone 14exalts himself, anyone 15hits you in the face. 21To my 16shame I must say that we have been 17weak by comparison.
But in whatever respect anyone else 18is bold--I 19speak in foolishness--I am just as bold myself. 22Are they 20Hebrews? 21So am I. Are they 22Israelites? 23So am I. Are they 2425descendants of Abraham? 26So am I. 23Are they 27servants of Christ?--I speak as if insane--I more so; in 2829far more labors, in 3031far more imprisonments, 3233beaten times without number, often in 34danger of death. 24Five times I received from the Jews 35thirty-nine lashes. 25Three times I was 36beaten with rods, once I was 37stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent in the deep. 26I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my 38countrymen, dangers from the 39Gentiles, dangers in the 40city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among 41false brethren; 27I have been in 42labor and hardship, 43through many sleepless nights, in 44hunger and thirst, often 45without food, in cold and 4647exposure. 28Apart from such 48external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for 49all the churches. 29Who is 50weak without my being weak? Who is 51led into sin 52without my intense concern?
30If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my 53weakness. 31The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, 54He who is blessed forever, 55knows that I am not lying. 32In 56Damascus the ethnarch under Aretas the king was 57guarding the city of the Damascenes in order to seize me, 33and I was let down in a basket 58through a window 59in the wall, and so escaped his hands.
