1 Timothy 3:12-16

12 1Deacons must be 2husbands of one wife, and 3 4good managers of their children and their own households. 13For those who have served well as deacons 5obtain for themselves a 6high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

14I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you before long; 15but 7in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one should act in 8the household of God, which is the 9church of 10the living God, the 11pillar and support of the truth. 16Beyond question, great is 12the mystery of godliness: He who was 13revealed in the flesh, Was 14 15vindicated 16in the Spirit, 17Seen by angels, 18Proclaimed among the nations, 19Believed on in the world, 20Taken up in glory.
