1 Timothy 3:10-16
101These men must also first be tested; then have them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach. 112Women must likewise be dignified, 3not malicious gossips, but 45temperate, faithful in all things. 126Deacons must be 7husbands of one wife, and 89good managers of their children and their own households. 13For those who have served well as deacons 10obtain for themselves a 11high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
14I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you before long; 15but 12in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one should act in 13the household of God, which is the 14church of 15the living God, the 16pillar and support of the truth. 16Beyond question, great is 17the mystery of godliness: He who was 18revealed in the flesh, Was 1920vindicated 21in the Spirit, 22Seen by angels, 23Proclaimed among the nations, 24Believed on in the world, 25Taken up in glory.
