1 Timothy 3:10-16
101These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach. 112Women must likewise be dignified, 3not malicious gossips, but 4temperate, faithful in all things. 125Deacons must be 6husbands of only one wife, and 78good managers of their children and their own households. 13For those who have served well as deacons 9obtain for themselves a 10high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
14I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you before long; 15but 11in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how 12one ought to conduct himself in 13the household of God, which is the 14church of 15the living God, the 16pillar and support of the truth. 16By common confession, great is 17the mystery of godliness: He who was 18revealed in the flesh, Was 1920vindicated 21in the Spirit, 22Seen by angels, 23Proclaimed among the nations, 24Believed on in the world, 25Taken up in glory.
