1 Thessalonians 4:14-18

14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead, 1so also God will bring with Him 2those who have fallen asleep 3through Jesus.

15For we say this to you 4by the word of the Lord, that 5we who are alive 6and remain until 7the coming of the Lord will not precede 8those who have fallen asleep.

16For the Lord 9Himself 10will descend from heaven with a 11 12shout, with the voice of 13the archangel and with the 14trumpet of God, and 15the dead in Christ will rise first.

17Then 16we who are alive, who remain, will be 17caught up together with them 18in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always 19be with the Lord.

18Therefore, 20comfort one another with these words.
