1 Thessalonians 4:14-18

14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, 1even so God will bring with Him 2those who have fallen asleep 3in Jesus.

15For this we say to you 4by the word of the Lord, that 5we who are alive 6and remain until 7the coming of the Lord, will not precede 8those who have fallen asleep.

16For the Lord 9Himself 10will descend from heaven with a 11 12shout, with the voice of 13the archangel and with the 14trumpet of God, and 15the dead in Christ will rise first.

17Then 16we who are alive 17and remain will be 18caught up together with them 19in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always 20be with the Lord.

18Therefore comfort one another with these words.
