1 Peter 5:4-9

4And when the Chief 1Shepherd appears, you will receive the 2unfading 3 4crown of glory. 5 5You 6younger men, likewise, 7be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with 8humility toward one another, because 9God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

6Therefore 10humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7having cast all your 11anxiety on Him, because He cares about you. 8 12Be of sober spirit, 13be on the alert. Your adversary, 14the devil, prowls around like a roaring 15lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 16 17So resist him, 18firm in your faith, knowing that 19the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your 20brothers and sisters who are in the world.
