1 John 3:8-10

8the one who practices sin is 1of the devil; for the devil 2has been sinning from the beginning. 3The Son of God 4appeared for this purpose, 5to destroy the works of the devil. 9No one who has been 6born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin continually, because he has been born of God. 10By this the 7children of God and the 8children of the devil are obvious: 9anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who 10does not love his 11brother and sister.
