1 John 3:8-10

8the one who practices sin is 1of the devil; for the devil 2has sinned from the beginning. 3The Son of God 4appeared for this purpose, 5to destroy the works of the devil. 9No one who is 67born of God 8practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is 9born of God. 10By this the 10children of God and the 11children of the devil are obvious: 12anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who 13does not love his 14brother.
