1 John 3:7-10

71Little children, make sure no one 2deceives you; 3the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; 8the one who practices sin is 4of the devil; for the devil 5has been sinning from the beginning. 6The Son of God 7appeared for this purpose, 8to destroy the works of the devil. 9No one who has been 9born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin continually, because he has been born of God. 10By this the 10children of God and the 11children of the devil are obvious: 12anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who 13does not love his 14brother and sister.
