1 John 3:7-10

71Little children, make sure no one 2deceives you; 3the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; 8the one who practices sin is 4of the devil; for the devil 5has sinned from the beginning. 6The Son of God 7appeared for this purpose, 8to destroy the works of the devil. 9No one who is 910born of God 11practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is 12born of God. 10By this the 13children of God and the 14children of the devil are obvious: 15anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who 16does not love his 17brother.
