1 John 3:5-10

5You know that He 1appeared in order to 2take away sins; and 3in Him there is no sin. 6No one who remains in Him 4sins continually; no one who sins continually has seen Him or 5 6knows Him. 7 7Little children, make sure no one 8deceives you; 9the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; 8the one who practices sin is 10of the devil; for the devil 11has been sinning from the beginning. 12The Son of God 13appeared for this purpose, 14to destroy the works of the devil. 9No one who has been 15born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin continually, because he has been born of God. 10By this the 16children of God and the 17children of the devil are obvious: 18anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who 19does not love his 20brother and sister.
