1 John 3:13-18

13Do not be surprised, brothers and sisters, if 1the world hates you.

14We know that we have 2passed out of death into life, 3because we love the brothers and sisters. The one who does not love remains in death.

15Everyone who 4hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that 5no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.

16We know love by this, that 6He laid down His life for us; and 7we ought to lay down our lives for the 8brothers and sisters.

17But 9whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and 10closes his 11heart 12against him, 13how does the love of God remain in him?

1814Little children, let’s not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and 15truth.
