1 John 2:22-29
22Who is the liar except 1the one who denies that Jesus is the 2Christ? This is 3the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 234Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. 24As for you, see that what you heard 5from the beginning remains in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also 6will remain in the Son and in the Father. 257This is the promise which He Himself 8made to us: eternal life.
26These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to 9deceive you. 27And as for you, the 10anointing which you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing 11teaches you about all things, and is 12true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, 13you remain in Him.
28Now, 14little children, remain in Him, so that when He 15appears, we may have 16confidence and 17not 18draw back from Him in shame 19at His 20coming. 29If you know that 21He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness also 22has been born of Him.
