Corinthians 10:6-11
Now these things happened as 1examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as 2they indeed craved them.
Do not be 3idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “4The people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to 5play.”
Nor are we to commit sexual immorality, as 6some of them 7did, and 8twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
Nor are we to put the Lord to the test, as 9some of them 10did, and were killed by the snakes.
Nor 11grumble, as some of them 12did, and 13were killed by the 14destroyer.
Now these things happened to them as an 15example, and 16they were written for our instruction, upon whom 17the ends of the ages have come.
