Corinthians 10:6-11
Now these things happened as 1examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as 2they also craved.
Do not be 3idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “4The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to 5play.”
Nor let us act immorally, as 6some of them 7did, and 8twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
Nor let us try the Lord, as 9some of them 10did, and were destroyed by the serpents.
Nor 11grumble, as some of them 12did, and 13were destroyed by the 14destroyer.
Now these things happened to them as an 15example, and 16they were written for our instruction, upon whom 17the ends of the ages have come.
