Nehemiah 9:1-23

1Now on the twenty-fourthH6242H702 dayH3117 of 1thisH2088 monthH2320 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 assembledH622 2with fastingH6685, in sackclothH8242 and with 3dirtH127 upon them. 2The 45descendantsH2233 of IsraelH3478 separatedH914 themselves from allH3605 foreignersH1121H5236, and stoodH5975 and 6confessedH3034 their sinsH2403 and the iniquitiesH5771 of their fathersH1. 3While 7they stoodH6965 in their placeH5977, they readH7121 from the bookH5612 of the lawH8451 of the LordH3068 their GodH430 for a fourthH7243 of the dayH3117; and for another fourthH7243 they confessedH3034 and worshipedH7812 the LordH3068 their GodH430. 48Now on the Levites’H3881 platformH4608 stoodH6965 JeshuaH3091, BaniH1137, KadmielH6934, ShebaniahH7645, BunniH1138, SherebiahH8274, BaniH1137 and ChenaniH3662, and they criedH2199 with a loudH1419 voiceH6963 to the LordH3068 their GodH430.

5Then the LevitesH3881, JeshuaH3091, KadmielH6934, BaniH1137, HashabneiahH2813, SherebiahH8274, HodiahH1941, ShebaniahH7645 and PethahiahH6611, saidH559, “AriseH6965, blessH1288 the LordH3068 your GodH430 foreverH4480H5769 and everH5769! O may Your gloriousH3519 nameH8034 be blessedH1288 And exaltedH7311 aboveH5921 allH3605 blessingH1293 and praiseH8416!69You aloneH905 are the LordH3068. 10You have madeH6213 the heavensH8064, The heavenH8064 of heavensH8064 with allH3605 their hostH6635, The earthH776 and allH3605 that is on it, The seasH3220 and allH3605 that is in them. 11You giveH2421 lifeH2421 to allH3605 of them And the heavenlyH8064 hostH6635 bowsH7812 downH7812 before You.7You are the LordH3068 GodH430, 12WhoH834 choseH977 AbramH87 And broughtH3318 him out from 13UrH218 of the ChaldeesH3778, And 14gaveH7760 him the nameH8034 AbrahamH85.8You foundH4672 15his heartH3824 faithfulH539 beforeH6440 You, And madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with him To giveH5414 him the landH776 of the CanaaniteH3669, Of the HittiteH2850 and the AmoriteH567, Of the PerizziteH6522, the JebusiteH2983 and the GirgashiteH1622-- To giveH5414 it to his 16descendantsH2233. And You 17have fulfilledH6965 Your promiseH1697, For You are righteousH6662.

9“18You sawH7200 the afflictionH6040 of our fathersH1 in EgyptH4714, And 19heardH8085 their cryH2201 by the 20RedH5488H3220 SeaH3220.10Then You performedH5414 21signsH226 and wondersH4159 against PharaohH6547, Against allH3605 his servantsH5650 and allH3605 the peopleH5971 of his landH776; For You knewH3045 that 22they actedH2102 arrogantlyH2102 towardH5921 them, And 23madeH6213 a nameH8034 for Yourself as it is thisH2088 dayH3117.1124You dividedH1234 the seaH3220 beforeH6440 them, So they passedH5674 through the midstH8432 of the seaH3220 on dryH3004 groundH3004; And 25their pursuersH7291 You hurledH7993 into the depthsH4688, LikeH3644 a stoneH68 into 26ragingH5794 watersH4325.12And with a pillarH5982 of cloudH6051 27You ledH5148 them by dayH3119, And with a pillarH5982 of fireH784 by nightH3915 To lightH215 for them the wayH1870 In whichH834 they were to goH1980.13Then 28You cameH3381 downH3381 on MountH2022 SinaiH5514, And 29spokeH1696 with them from heavenH8064; You gaveH5414 them 30justH3477 ordinancesH4941 and trueH571 lawsH8451, GoodH2896 statutesH2706 and commandmentsH4687.14So You madeH3045 knownH3045 to them 31Your holyH6944 sabbathH7676, And laidH6680 downH6680 for them commandmentsH4687, statutesH2706 and lawH8451, ThroughH3027 Your servantH5650 MosesH4872.15You 32providedH5414 breadH3899 from heavenH8064 for them for their hungerH7458, You 33broughtH3318 forthH3318 waterH4325 from a rockH5553 for them for their thirstH6772, And You 34toldH559 them to enterH935 in order to possessH3423 The landH776 whichH834 You 35sworeH5375H3027 to giveH5414 them.

16“But they, our fathersH1, 36actedH2102 arrogantlyH2102; They 3738becameH7185H6203 stubbornH7185H6203 and would not listenH8085 to Your commandmentsH4687.17They refusedH3985 to listenH8085, And 39did not rememberH2142 Your wondrousH6381 deedsH6381 whichH834 You had performedH6213 amongH5973 them; So they becameH7185H6203 stubbornH7185H6203 and 40appointedH5414 a leaderH7218 to returnH7725 to their slaveryH5659 41in EgyptH4714. But You are a GodH433 42of forgivenessH5547, GraciousH2587 and compassionateH7349, SlowH750 to angerH639 and aboundingH7227 in lovingkindnessH2617; And You did not forsakeH5800 them.18EvenH637 whenH3588 they 43madeH6213 for themselves A calfH5695 of moltenH4541 metalH4541 And saidH559, ‘ThisH2088 is your GodH430 WhoH834 broughtH5927 you up from EgyptH4714,’ And committedH6213 greatH1419 44blasphemiesH5007,1945You, in Your greatH7227 compassionH7356, Did not forsakeH5800 them in the wildernessH4057; 46The pillarH5982 of cloudH6051 did not leaveH5493H4480H5921 them by dayH3119, To guideH5148 them on their wayH1870, NorH3808 the pillarH5982 of fireH784 by nightH3915, to lightH215 for them the wayH1870 in whichH834 they were to goH1980.2047You gaveH5414 Your goodH2896 SpiritH7307 to instructH7919 them, Your mannaH4478 You did not withholdH4513 from their mouthH6310, And You gaveH5414 them waterH4325 for their thirstH6772.21Indeed, 48fortyH705 yearsH8141 You providedH3557 for them in the wildernessH4057 and they were not in wantH2637; Their clothesH8008 did not wearH1086 out, norH3808 did their feetH7272 swellH1216.22You also gaveH5414 them kingdomsH4467 and peoplesH5971, And allottedH2505 them to them as a 49boundaryH6285. 50They tookH3423 possessionH3423 of the landH776 of SihonH5511 51the kingH4428 of HeshbonH2809 And the landH776 of OgH5747 the kingH4428 of BashanH1316.23You madeH7235 their sonsH1121 numerousH7235 as 52the starsH3556 of heavenH8064, And You broughtH935 them into the landH776 WhichH834 You had toldH559 their fathersH1 to enterH935 and possessH3423.
