Nehemiah 9:1-23

NowH3117 in the twentyH6242 and fourthH702 dayH3117 of this monthH2320 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 were assembledH622 with fastingH6685, and with sackclothH8242, and earthH127 uponH5921 them.

And the seedH2233 of IsraelH3478 separatedH914 themselvesH5771 from allH3605 strangers, and stoodH5975 and confessedH3034 their sinsH2403, and the iniquitiesH5771 of their fathersH1.

And they stoodH6965 upH6965 in their placeH5977, and readH7121 in the bookH5612 of the lawH8451 of the LORDH3068 their GodH430 a fourthH7243 partH5921 of the dayH3117; and another fourthH7243 partH5921 they confessedH3034, and worshipped the LORDH3068 their GodH430.

Then stoodH6965 upH6965 uponH5921 the stairs of the LevitesH3881, JeshuaH3442, and BaniH1137, KadmielH6934, ShebaniahH7645, BunniH1138, SherebiahH8274, BaniH1137, and ChenaniH3662, and criedH2199 with a loudH1419 voiceH6963 unto the LORDH3068 their GodH430.

Then the LevitesH3881, JeshuaH3442, and KadmielH6934, BaniH1137, HashabneiahH2813, SherebiahH8274, HodiahH1941, ShebaniahH7645, and PethahiahH6611, saidH559, StandH6965 upH6965 and blessH1288 the LORDH3068 your GodH430 from everlastingH5769 to everlastingH5769: and blessedH1288 be thy glorious nameH8034, which is exaltedH7311 aboveH5921 allH3605 blessingH1293 and praiseH8416.

Thou art the LORDH3068, evenH853 thou aloneH905; thou hast madeH6213 heavenH8064, the heavenH8064 of heavensH8064, with allH3605 their hostH6635, the earthH776 and allH3605 things that are thereonH5921, the seasH3220 and allH3605 that is in them, and thou preservest them allH3605; and the hostH6635 of heavenH8064 worshippeth thee.

Then art the LORDH3068 the GodH430, who didst chooseH977 AbramH87 and broughtest him forthH3318 outH3318 of Ur of the ChaldeesH3778, and gavest him the nameH8034 of AbrahamH85;

and foundest his heartH3824 faithfulH539 beforeH6440 thee, and madest a covenantH1285 with him to giveH5414 the landH776 of the CanaaniteH3669, the HittiteH2850, the AmoriteH567, and the PerizziteH6522, and the JebusiteH2983, and the GirgashiteH1622, evenH3588 to giveH5414 it unto his seedH2233, and hast performedH5414 thy wordsH1697; for thou art righteousH6662.

And thou sawest the affliction of our fathersH1 in EgyptH4714, and heardest their cryH2201 by the Red SeaH3220;

and shewedst signsH226 and wondersH4159 uponH5921 PharaohH6547, and on allH3605 his servantsH5650, and on allH3605 the peopleH5971 of his landH776; for thou knewest that they dealtH2102 proudlyH2102 againstH5921 them; and didst get thee a nameH8034, as it is this dayH3117.

And thou didst divideH1234 the seaH3220 beforeH6440 them, soH3644 that they wentH6440 throughH5674 the midstH8432 of the seaH3220 on the dryH3004 landH3004; and their pursuersH7291 thou didst castH7993 intoH8432 the depthsH4688, as a stoneH68 intoH8432 the mightyH5794 watersH4325.

Moreover thou leddest them in a pillarH5982 of cloudH6051 by dayH3119; and in a pillarH5982 of fireH784 by nightH3915, to giveH215 them lightH215 in the wayH1870 whereinH834 they should go.

Thou camest downH3381 also uponH5921 mountH2022 SinaiH5514, and spakest with them from heavenH8064, and gavest them rightH3477 judgmentsH4941 and trueH571 lawsH8451, goodH2896 statutesH2706 and commandmentsH4687:

and madest knownH3045 unto them thy holyH6944 sabbathH7676, and commandedst them commandmentsH4687, and statutesH2706, and a lawH8451, by the handH3027 of MosesH4872 thy servantH5650:

and gavest them breadH3899 from heavenH8064 for their hungerH7458, and broughtest forthH3318 waterH4325 for them outH3318 of the rockH5553 for their thirstH6772, and commandedst them that they should goH3318 in to possessH3423 the landH776 whichH834 thou hadst liftedH5375 upH5375 thine handH3027 to giveH5414 them.

But they and our fathersH1 dealtH2102 proudlyH2102, and hardenedH7185 their neckH6203, and hearkened notH3808 to thy commandmentsH4687,

and refusedH3985 to obeyH8085, neitherH3808 were mindfulH2142 of thy wondersH6381 that thou didst among them; but hardenedH7185 their neckH6203, and in their rebellionH4805 appointedH5414 a captainH7227 to returnH7725 to their bondageH5659: but thou art a GodH433 ready to pardon, graciousH2587 and fullH7218 of compassion, slowH750 to angerH639, and plenteous in mercy, and forsookest them notH3808.

YeaH3588, when they had madeH6213 them a molten calfH5695, and saidH559, This is thy GodH430 that broughtH5927 thee upH5927 outH1419 of EgyptH4714, and had wrought greatH1419 provocations;

yet thou in thy manifold merciesH7356 forsookest them notH3808 in the wildernessH4057: the pillarH5982 of cloudH6051 departedH5493 notH3808 from over them by dayH3119, to leadH5148 them in the wayH1870; neitherH3808 the pillarH5982 of fireH784 by nightH3915, to shew them lightH215, and the wayH1870 whereinH834 they should goH5493.

Thou gavest also thy goodH2896 spiritH7307 to instruct them, and withheldest notH3808 thy mannaH4478 from their mouthH6310, and gavest them waterH4325 for their thirstH6772.

Yea, fortyH705 yearsH8141 didst thou sustainH3557 them in the wildernessH4057, and they lackedH2637 nothingH3808; their clothesH8008 waxed notH3808 oldH8141, and their feetH7272 swelled notH3808.

Moreover thou gavest them kingdomsH4467 and peoplesH5971, which thou didst allotH5414 afterH776 their portions: soH5414 they possessedH3423 the landH776 of SihonH5511, evenH853 the landH776 of the kingH4428 of HeshbonH2809, and the landH776 of OgH5747 kingH4428 of BashanH1316.

Their childrenH1121 also multipliedst thou as the starsH3556 of heavenH8064, and broughtest them intoH413 the landH776, concerning whichH834 thou didst sayH559 to their fathersH1, that they should goH935 in to possessH3423 it.
