Micah 2
Woe to Oppressors
1WoeH1945 to those who 1schemeH2803 iniquityH205, Who workH6466 out evilH7451 on their bedsH4904! 23When morningH1242 comes, they doH6213 it, For it is in the 4powerH410 of their handsH3027.2They 5covetH2530 fieldsH7704 and then 6seizeH1497 them, And housesH1004, and takeH5375 them away. They 78robH6231 a manH1397 and his houseH1004, A manH376 and his inheritanceH5159. 3ThereforeH3651 thusH3541 saysH559 the LordH3068, “BeholdH2009, I am 9planningH2803 againstH5921 thisH2088 10familyH4940 a calamityH7463 From whichH834 you 11cannotH3808 removeH4185 your necksH6677; And you will not walkH1980 12haughtilyH7317, For it will be an 13evilH7463 timeH6256.4On that dayH3117 they will 14takeH5375 up againstH5921 you a 15tauntH4912 And 1617utterH5091 a bitterH5093 lamentationH5092 and sayH559, ‘We are completelyH7703 18destroyedH7703! He exchangesH4171 the portionH2506 of my peopleH5971; HowH349 He removesH4185 it from me! To the apostateH7728 He 19apportionsH2505 our fieldsH7704.’5ThereforeH3651 you will haveH1961 noH3808 one 2021stretchingH7993 a measuringH2256 lineH2256 For you by lotH1486 in the assemblyH6951 of the LordH3068.
6‘22Do not 23speakH5197 out,’ so they 24speakH5197 out. But if 25they do 26not 27speakH5197 out concerning theseH428 thingsH428, 28ReproachesH3639 will not be turnedH5472 backH5472.7Is it being saidH559, O houseH1004 of JacobH3290: ‘Is the SpiritH7307 of the LordH3068 29impatientH7114? Are theseH428 His doingsH4611?’ Do not My wordsH1697 30doH3190 goodH3190 To the one 31walkingH1980 uprightlyH3477?832RecentlyH865 My peopleH5971 have arisenH6965 as an 33enemyH340-- You 34stripH6584 the 35robeH145H8008 offH6584 the garmentH8008 From 36unsuspectingH983 passers-byH5674, From those returnedH7725 from warH4421.9The womenH802 of My peopleH5971 you 37evictH1644, Each one from her pleasantH8588 houseH1004. From her childrenH5768 you takeH3947 My 38splendorH1926 foreverH5769.10AriseH6965 and goH1980, For thisH2088 is noH3808 placeH4496 39of restH4496 BecauseH5668 of the 40uncleannessH2932 that bringsH2254 on destructionH2254, A painfulH4834 destructionH2256.11IfH3863 a manH376 walkingH1980 after windH7307 and 41falsehoodH8267 Had toldH3576 liesH3576 and said, ‘I will 42speakH5197 out to you concerning 43wineH3196 and liquorH7941,’ He would be 44spokesmanH5197 to 45thisH2088 peopleH5971.
12“I will surelyH622 46assembleH622 allH3605 of you, JacobH3290, I will surelyH6908 gatherH6908 the 47remnantH7611 of IsraelH3478. I will putH7760 them togetherH3162 like sheepH6629 in the foldH1223; Like a flockH5739 in the midstH8432 of its pastureH1699 They will be noisyH1949 with menH120.13The breakerH6555 goesH5927 up beforeH6440 them; They breakH6555 out, passH5674 throughH5674 the gateH8179 and goH3318 out by it. So their kingH4428 goesH5674 on beforeH6440 them, And the LordH3068 at their headH7218.”
