Micah 2
Woe to Oppressors
1WoeH1945 to those who 1deviseH2803 wrongdoingH205, Who practiceH6466 evilH7451 on their bedsH4904! 23When morningH1242 comes, they doH6213 it, BecauseH3588 it is in the 4powerH410 of their handsH3027.2They 5covetH2530 fieldsH7704, so they 6seizeH1497 them; And housesH1004, so they takeH5375 them. They 78exploitH6231 a manH1397 and his houseH1004, A personH376 and his inheritanceH5159. 3ThereforeH3651 thisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559: “BeholdH2009, I am 9planningH2803 againstH5921 thisH2088 10familyH4940 a catastropheH7463 From whichH834 you 11cannotH3808 removeH4185 your necksH6677; And you will not walkH1980 12haughtilyH7317, For it will be an 13evilH7463 timeH6256.4On that dayH3117 they will 14takeH5375 upH5375 againstH5921 you a 15songH4912 ofH4912 mockingH4912 And 1617utterH5091 a songH5092 ofH7015 mourningH7015 and sayH559, ‘We are completelyH7703 18destroyedH7703! He exchangesH4171 the shareH2506 of my peopleH5971; HowH349 He removesH4185 it from me! To the apostateH7728 He 19apportionsH2505 our fieldsH7704.’5ThereforeH3651 you will haveH1961 noH3808 one 2021applyingH7993 a measuringH2256 lineH2256 For you by lotH1486 in the assemblyH6951 of the LordH3068.
6‘22Do not prophesyH5197,’ so they prophesyH5197. But if 23they do 24not prophesyH5197 about theseH428 thingsH428, 25InsultsH3639 will not be turnedH5472 backH5472.7Is it being saidH559, houseH1004 of JacobH3290: ‘Is the SpiritH7307 of the LordH3068 26impatientH7114? Are theseH428 His worksH4611?’ Do My wordsH1697 not 27doH3190 goodH3190 For the one 28walkingH1980 rightlyH3477?829RecentlyH865 My peopleH5971 have arisenH6965 as an 30enemyH340-- You 31stripH6584 the robeH155 offH6584 the garmentH8008 From 32unsuspectingH983 passers-byH5674, From those returnedH7725 from warH4421.9You 33evictH1644 the womenH802 of My peopleH5971, Each one from her pleasantH8588 houseH1004. From her childrenH5768 you takeH3947 My 34splendorH1926 foreverH5769.10AriseH6965 and goH1980, For thisH2088 is noH3808 placeH4496 35ofH4496 restH4496 BecauseH5668 of the 36uncleannessH2932 that bringsH2254 on destructionH2254, A painfulH4834 destructionH2256.11IfH3863 someoneH376 walkingH1980 after windH7307 and 37falsehoodH8267 Had liedH3576 and said, ‘I will prophesyH5197 to you about 38wineH3196 and liquorH7941,’ He would becomeH1961 a prophetH5197 to 39thisH2088 peopleH5971.
12“I will certainlyH622 40assembleH622 allH3605 of you, JacobH3290, I will certainlyH6908 gatherH6908 the 41remnantH7611 of IsraelH3478. I will putH7760 them togetherH3162 like sheepH6629 in the foldH1223; Like a flockH5739 in the midstH8432 of its pastureH1699 They will beH1993 noisyH1993 with peopleH120.13The one who breaksH6555 throughH6555 goesH5927 upH5927 beforeH6440 them; They breakH6555 throughH6555, passH5674 throughH5674 the gateH8179, and goH3318 outH3318 by it. So their kingH4428 passesH5674 onH5674 beforeH6440 them, And the LordH3068 at their headH7218.”
