Judges 2:17-20
17YetH1571 they did not listenH8085 to their judgesH8199, for they playedH2181 the harlotH2181 afterH310 otherH312 godsH430 and bowedH7812 themselves downH7812 to them. They turnedH5493 asideH5493 quicklyH4118 from the wayH1870 1in whichH834 their fathersH1 had walkedH1980 in obeyingH8085 the commandmentsH4687 of the LordH3068; they didH6213 not doH6213 as their fathers.
18WhenH3588 the LordH3068 raisedH6965 up judgesH8199 for them, 2the LordH3068 was with the judgeH8199 and deliveredH3467 them from the handH3027 of their enemiesH340 allH3605 the daysH3117 of the judgeH8199; for the LordH3068 was 3movedH5162 to pityH5162 by their groaningH5009 becauseH4480H6440 of those who oppressedH3905 and afflictedH1766 them.
19But it cameH1961 about when the judgeH8199 diedH4194, that they would turnH7725 backH7725 and actH7843 moreH4480 corruptlyH7843 thanH4480 their fathersH1, in followingH1980H310 otherH312 godsH430 to serveH5647 them and bowH7812 downH7812 to them; they did not abandonH5307 their practicesH4611 or their stubbornH7186 waysH1870.
204So the angerH639 of the LordH3068 burnedH2734 against IsraelH3478, and He saidH559, “BecauseH3282H834 thisH2088 nationH1471 has transgressedH5674 My covenantH1285 whichH834 I commandedH6680 their fathersH1 and has not listenedH8085 to My voiceH6963,
