Joshua 7:7-13
7JoshuaH3091 saidH559, “AlasH162, O LordH136 1GodH3068, whyH4100 did You everH5674 bringH5674 thisH2088 peopleH5971 overH5674 the JordanH3383, only to deliverH5414 us into the handH3027 of the AmoritesH567, to destroyH6 us? IfH3863 onlyH3863 we had been willingH2974 2to dwellH3427 beyondH5676 the JordanH3383! 8OH994 LordH136, whatH4100 can I sayH559 sinceH310 IsraelH3478 has turnedH2015 their 3backH6203 beforeH6440 their enemiesH340? 94For the CanaanitesH3669 and allH3605 the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776 will hearH8085 of it, and they will surroundH5437 us and cutH3772 offH3772 our nameH8034 from the earthH776. And whatH4100 will You doH6213 for Your greatH1419 nameH8034?”
10So the LordH3068 saidH559 to JoshuaH3091, “RiseH6965 up! WhyH4100 is it that you have fallenH5307 on your faceH6440? 11IsraelH3478 has sinnedH2398, and 5they have alsoH1571 transgressedH5674 My covenantH1285 whichH834 I commandedH6680 them. And they have evenH1571 takenH3947 someH4480 of the thingsH2764 underH2764 the banH2764 and have bothH1571 stolenH1589 and deceivedH3584. Moreover, they have alsoH1571 putH7760 them among their own thingsH3627. 12Therefore the 6sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 cannotH3201H3808 standH6965 beforeH6440 their enemiesH340; they turnH6437 their 7backsH6203 beforeH6440 their enemiesH340, for they have becomeH1961 accursedH2764. I will not be with you anymoreH3254 unlessH518H3808 you destroyH8045 the thingsH2764 underH2764 the banH2764 from your midstH7130. 13RiseH6965 up! 8ConsecrateH6942 the peopleH5971 and sayH559, ‘ConsecrateH6942 yourselves for tomorrowH4279, for thusH3541 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, has saidH559, “9There are thingsH2764 underH2764 the banH2764 in your midstH7130, O IsraelH3478. You cannotH3201H3808 standH6965 beforeH6440 your enemiesH340 untilH5704 you have removedH5493 the thingsH2764 underH2764 the banH2764 from your midstH7130.”
