Jonah 1:11-16
11So they saidH559 to him, “WhatH4100 should we doH6213 to you that the seaH3220 may becomeH8367 calmH8367 1for us?”--for the seaH3220 was becomingH1980 increasinglyH1980 stormyH5590. 12He saidH559 to them, “PickH5375 me up and throwH2904 me into the seaH3220. Then the seaH3220 will becomeH8367 calmH8367 2for you, for I knowH3045 that 3on accountH7945 of me thisH2088 greatH1419 stormH5591 has come upon you.” 13However, the menH376 4rowedH2864 desperately to returnH7725 to landH3004 but they couldH3201 not, for the seaH3220 was becomingH1980 even stormierH5590 againstH5921 them. 14Then they calledH7121 on the 5LordH3068 and saidH559, “We earnestlyH577 prayH577, OH577 LordH3068, do not let us perishH6 on account of thisH2088 man’sH376 lifeH5315 and do not putH5414 innocentH5355 bloodH1818 on us; for 6You, O LordH3068, have doneH6213 as You have pleasedH2654.”
15So they pickedH5375 up JonahH3124, threwH2904 him into the seaH3220, and the seaH3220 7stoppedH5975 its ragingH2197. 16Then the menH376 fearedH3372 the LordH3068 greatlyH1419, and they offeredH2076 a sacrificeH2077 to the LordH3068 and madeH5087 8vowsH5088.
