1 Chronicles 22:5-13
5DavidH1732 saidH559, “My sonH1121 1SolomonH8010 is youngH5288 and inexperiencedH7390, and the houseH1004 that is to be builtH1129 for the LordH3068 shall be exceedinglyH4605 magnificentH1431, famousH8034 and gloriousH8597 throughout allH3605 landsH776. Therefore nowH4994 I will makeH3559 preparationH3559 for it.” So DavidH1732 madeH3559 ampleH7230 preparationsH3559 beforeH6440 his deathH4194.
6Then 2he calledH7121 for his sonH1121 SolomonH8010, and chargedH6680 him to buildH1129 a houseH1004 for the LordH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478. 7DavidH1732 saidH559 to SolomonH8010, “3My sonH1121, 4I had intendedH3824 to buildH1129 a houseH1004 to the nameH8034 of the LordH3068 my GodH430. 8But the wordH1697 of the LordH3068 cameH1961 to me, sayingH559, ‘5You have shedH8210 muchH7230 bloodH1818 and have 6wagedH6213 greatH1419 warsH4421; you shall not buildH1129 a houseH1004 to My nameH8034, becauseH3588 you have shedH8210 so muchH7227 bloodH1818 on the earthH776 beforeH6440 Me. 9BeholdH2009, a sonH1121 will be bornH3205 to you, whoH1931 shall be a manH376 of restH4496; and 7I will giveH5117 him restH5117 from allH3605 his enemiesH340 on everyH5439 sideH5439; for 8his nameH8034 shall be 9SolomonH8010, and I will giveH5414 peaceH7965 and quietH8253 to IsraelH3478 in his daysH3117. 1010He shall buildH1129 a houseH1004 for My nameH8034, and he shall be My sonH1121 and I will be his fatherH1; and I will establishH3559 the throneH3678 of his kingdomH4438 overH5921 IsraelH3478 foreverH5704H5769.’ 11NowH6258, my sonH1121, 11the LordH3068 be with you that you may be successfulH6743, and buildH1129 the houseH1004 of the LordH3068 your GodH430 justH3512 as He has spokenH1696 concerningH5921 you. 1212OnlyH389 the LordH3068 giveH5414 you discretionH7922 and understandingH998, and giveH6680 you chargeH6680 overH5921 IsraelH3478, so that you may 13keepH8104 the lawH8451 of the LordH3068 your GodH430. 1314ThenH227 you will prosperH6743, ifH518 you are carefulH8104 to observeH6213 the statutesH2706 and the ordinancesH4941 whichH834 the LordH3068 commandedH6680 MosesH4872 concerningH5921 IsraelH3478. 15Be strongH2388 and courageousH553, do not fearH3372 norH408 be dismayedH2865.
