Romans 8:11-39

11But if the Spirit of Him who 1raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, 2He who raised 3Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies 4through His Spirit who dwells in you.

12So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh-- 13for 5if you are living according to the flesh, you 6must die; but if by the Spirit you are 7putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14For all who are 8being led by the Spirit of God, these are 9sons of God. 15For you 10have not received a spirit of slavery 11leading to fear again, but you 12have received 13a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “14Abba! Father!” 16The Spirit Himself 15testifies with our spirit that we are 16children of God, 17and if children, 17heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, 18if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time 19are not worthy to be compared with the 20glory that is to be revealed to us. 19For the 21anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for 22the revealing of the 23sons of God. 20For the creation 24was subjected to 25futility, not willingly, but 26because of Him who subjected it, 27in hope 21that 28the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22For we know that the whole creation 29groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 2330And not only this, but also we ourselves, having 31the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves 32groan within ourselves, 33waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, 34the redemption of our body. 24For 35in hope we have been saved, but 36hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25But 37if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

26In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for 38we do not know how to pray as we should, but 39the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27and 40He who searches the hearts knows what 41the mind of the Spirit is, because He 42intercedes for the 43saints according to the will of God.

28And we know that 44God causes 45all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are 46called according to His purpose. 29For those whom He 47foreknew, He also 48predestined to become 49conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the 50firstborn among many brethren; 30and these whom He 51predestined, He also 52called; and these whom He called, He also 53justified; and these whom He justified, He also 54glorified.

3155What then shall we say to these things? 56If God is for us, who is against us? 32He who 57did not spare His own Son, but 58delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? 33Who will bring a charge against 59God’s elect? 60God is the one who justifies; 34who is the one who 61condemns? Christ Jesus is He who 62died, yes, rather who was 6364raised, who is 65at the right hand of God, who also 66intercedes for us. 35Who will separate us from 67the love of 68Christ? Will 69tribulation, or distress, or 70persecution, or 71famine, or 72nakedness, or 73peril, or sword? 36Just as it is written, “74For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37But in all these things we overwhelmingly 75conquer through 76Him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither 77death, nor life, nor 78angels, nor principalities, nor 79things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from 80the love of God, which is 81in Christ Jesus our Lord.
