22“TheMightyH410OneH410,Godאֱלֹהִ֨ים׀'E.lo.HimH430,the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068,the MightyH410OneH410,Godאֱלֹהִ֤ים׀'E.lo.HimH430,the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068!He knowsיֹדֵ֔עַyo.De.a'H3045,and may Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478itselfH1931knowיֵדָ֑עye.Da'H3045.Ifאִם־'im-H518it wasin rebellionבְּמֶ֤רֶדbe.Me.redH4777,or ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518in an unfaithfulH4604actH4604against the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֔הba.Yah.wehH3068do not saveתּוֹשִׁיעֵ֖נוּto.shi.'E.nuH3467us thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117!

23If we have builtלִבְנ֥וֹתliv.NotH1129us an altarמִזְבֵּ֔חַmiz.Be.achH4196to turnלָשׁ֖וּבla.ShuvH7725awayH7725from followingמֵאַחֲרֵ֣יme.'a.cha.ReiH310the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,or ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518toofferלְהַעֲל֨וֹתle.ha.'a.LotH5927a burntעוֹלָ֣הo.LahH5930offeringH5930or grain offeringוּמִנְחָ֗הu.min.ChahH4503on it, or ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518to offerלַעֲשׂ֤וֹתla.'a.SotH6213sacrificesזִבְחֵ֣יziv.CheiH2077of peaceשְׁלָמִ֔יםshe.la.MimH8002offeringsH8002on it, may the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Himselfה֥וּאhu'H1931requireיְבַקֵּֽשׁ׃ye.va.KeshH1245it.

24But trulyוְאִם־ לֹ֤אve.'im- lo'H518 H3808we have doneעָשִׂ֥ינוּ'a.Si.nuH6213thisH2088out of concernמִדְּאָגָה֙mi.de.'a.GahH1674,for a reasonמִדָּבָ֔רmi.da.VarH1697,sayingH559, ‘In timeH4279to comeH4279your sonsבְנֵיכֶ֤םve.nei.KhemH1121may sayH559to oursonsלְבָנֵ֙ינוּ֙le.va.Nei.nuH1121, “Whatמַה־mah-H4100have you to do with the Lordוְלַֽיהוָ֖הve.la.Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478?

25For the Lordיְ֠הוָהYah.wehH3068has madeנָֽתַן־na.tan-H5414the Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֔ןhai.yar.DenH3383a borderוּגְב֣וּלu.ge.VulH1366betweenH996us and you, yousonsבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of Reubenרְאוּבֵ֤ןre.'u.VenH7205and sonsוּבְנֵי־u.ve.nei-H1121of Gadגָד֙gadH1410;you haveH369noH369portionחֵ֖לֶקChe.lekH2506in the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֑הba.Yah.wehH3068.”So your sonsבְנֵיכֶם֙ve.nei.KhemH1121may make our sonsבָּנֵ֔ינוּba.Nei.nuH1121stopלְבִלְתִּ֖יle.vil.TiH1115fearingיְרֹ֥אye.Ro'H3372the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.’

26“Therefore we saidוַנֹּ֕אמֶרva.No.merH559, ‘Let usbuildנַעֲשֶׂה־ לִבְנ֖וֹתna.'a.seh- liv.NotH6213 H1129an altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַha.miz.Be.achH4196,not for burntלְעוֹלָ֖הle.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930or for sacrificeלְזָֽבַח׃le.Za.vachH2077;

27ratherכִּי֩kiH3588it shall bea witnessעֵ֨ד'edH5707betweenH996us and you and betweenH996our generationsדֹּרוֹתֵינוּ֮do.ro.tei.NuH1755afterאַחֲרֵינוּ֒'a.cha.rei.NuH310us, that we are toperformלַעֲבֹ֞דla.'a.VodH5647the serviceעֲבֹדַ֤ת'a.vo.DatH5656of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068beforeלְפָנָ֔יוle.fa.NavH6440Him with our burntבְּעֹלוֹתֵ֥ינוּbe.'o.lo.Tei.nuH5930offeringsH5930,and with our sacrificesוּבִזְבָחֵ֖ינוּu.viz.va.Chei.nuH2077and with our peaceוּבִשְׁלָמֵ֑ינוּu.vish.la.Mei.nuH8002offeringsH8002,soוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808that your sonsבְנֵיכֶ֤םve.nei.KhemH1121will not sayיֹאמְר֨וּyo.me.RuH559to our sonsלְבָנֵ֔ינוּle.va.Nei.nuH1121in timeH4279to comeH4279, “You haveH369noH369portionחֵ֖לֶקChe.lekH2506in the Lordבַּיהוָֽה׃ba.Yah.wehH3068.”’

28Therefore we saidוַנֹּ֕אמֶרva.No.merH559, ‘It shall also comeוְהָיָ֗הve.ha.YahH1961about ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588they sayיֹאמְר֥וּyo.me.RuH559thisto us or to our generationsדֹּרֹתֵ֖ינוּdo.ro.Tei.nuH1755in timeH4279to comeH4279,then we shall sayוְאָמַ֡רְנוּve.'a.Mar.nuH559, “Seeרְא֣וּre.'UH7200the copyתַּבְנִית֩tav.NitH8403of the altarמִזְבַּ֨חmiz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834our fathersאֲבוֹתֵ֗ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1madeעָשׂ֣וּ'a.SuH6213,not for burntלְעוֹלָה֙le.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930or for sacrificeלְזֶ֔בַחle.Ze.vachH2077;ratherכִּי־ki-H3588it is a witnessעֵ֣ד'edH5707betweenH996us and you.”’
