21Then the childrenבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of Reubenרְאוּבֵ֣ןre.'u.VenH7205and the childrenוּבְנֵי־u.ve.nei-H1121of Gadגָ֔דGadH1410and the halfוַחֲצִ֖יva.cha.TziH2677tribeשֵׁ֣בֶטShe.vetH7626of Manassehהַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֑הham.na.ShehH4519answeredוַֽיַּעֲנוּ֙vai.ya.'a.NuH6030,and saidוַֽיְדַבְּר֔וּvay.da.be.RuH1696unto the headsרָאשֵׁ֖יra.SheiH7218of the thousandsאַלְפֵ֥י'al.FeiH505of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478,
22The Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068Godאֵל֩׀'elH410of godsאֱלֹהִ֨ים׀'E.lo.HimH430,the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068Godאֵ֣ל׀'elH410of godsאֱלֹהִ֤ים׀'E.lo.HimH430,he knowethיֹדֵ֔עַyo.De.a'H3045,and Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478he shall knowיֵדָ֑עye.Da'H3045; if it bein rebellionבְּמֶ֤רֶדbe.Me.redH4777,or if in transgressionבְּמַ֙עַל֙be.Ma.'alH4604against the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֔הba.Yah.wehH3068, (saveתּוֹשִׁיעֵ֖נוּto.shi.'E.nuH3467us not this dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117,)
23That we have builtלִבְנ֥וֹתliv.NotH1129us an altarמִזְבֵּ֔חַmiz.Be.achH4196to turnלָשׁ֖וּבla.ShuvH7725from followingמֵאַחֲרֵ֣יme.'a.cha.ReiH310the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,or if to offerלְהַעֲל֨וֹתle.ha.'a.LotH5927thereon burnt offeringעוֹלָ֣הo.LahH5930or meat offeringוּמִנְחָ֗הu.min.ChahH4503,or if to offerלַעֲשׂ֤וֹתla.'a.SotH6213peaceשְׁלָמִ֔יםshe.la.MimH8002offeringsזִבְחֵ֣יziv.CheiH2077thereon, let the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068himself requireיְבַקֵּֽשׁ׃ye.va.KeshH1245it;
24And if we have not ratherdoneעָשִׂ֥ינוּ'a.Si.nuH6213it for fearמִדְּאָגָה֙mi.de.'a.GahH1674of thisthingמִדָּבָ֔רmi.da.VarH1697,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,In time to comeמָחָ֗רma.CharH4279your childrenבְנֵיכֶ֤םve.nei.KhemH1121might speakיֹאמְר֨וּyo.me.RuH559unto our childrenלְבָנֵ֙ינוּ֙le.va.Nei.nuH1121,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,What have ye to do with the Lordוְלַֽיהוָ֖הve.la.Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478?
25For the Lordיְ֠הוָהYah.wehH3068hath madeנָֽתַן־na.tan-H5414Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֔ןhai.yar.DenH3383a borderוּגְב֣וּלu.ge.VulH1366between us and you, ye childrenבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of Reubenרְאוּבֵ֤ןre.'u.VenH7205and childrenוּבְנֵי־u.ve.nei-H1121of Gadגָד֙gadH1410;ye have no partחֵ֖לֶקChe.lekH2506in the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֑הba.Yah.wehH3068:so shall your childrenבְנֵיכֶם֙ve.nei.KhemH1121makeH7673our childrenבָּנֵ֔ינוּba.Nei.nuH1121ceaseוְהִשְׁבִּ֤יתוּve.hish.Bi.tuH7673fromלְבִלְתִּ֖יle.vil.TiH1115fearingיְרֹ֥אye.Ro'H3372the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
27But that it may bea witnessעֵ֨ד'edH5707between us, and you, and our generationsדֹּרוֹתֵינוּ֮do.ro.tei.NuH1755afterאַחֲרֵינוּ֒'a.cha.rei.NuH310us, that we might doלַעֲבֹ֞דla.'a.VodH5647the serviceעֲבֹדַ֤ת'a.vo.DatH5656of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068beforeלְפָנָ֔יוle.fa.NavH6440him with our burnt offeringsבְּעֹלוֹתֵ֥ינוּbe.'o.lo.Tei.nuH5930,and with our sacrificesוּבִזְבָחֵ֖ינוּu.viz.va.Chei.nuH2077,and with our peace offeringsוּבִשְׁלָמֵ֑ינוּu.vish.la.Mei.nuH8002;that your childrenבְנֵיכֶ֤םve.nei.KhemH1121may not sayיֹאמְר֨וּyo.me.RuH559to our childrenלְבָנֵ֔ינוּle.va.Nei.nuH1121in time to comeמָחָר֙ma.CharH4279,Ye have no partחֵ֖לֶקChe.lekH2506in the Lordבַּיהוָֽה׃ba.Yah.wehH3068.
28Therefore saidוַנֹּ֕אמֶרva.No.merH559we, that it shall be, when they should sosayיֹאמְר֥וּyo.me.RuH559to us or to our generationsדֹּרֹתֵ֖ינוּdo.ro.Tei.nuH1755in time to comeמָחָ֑רma.CharH4279,that we may sayוְאָמַ֡רְנוּve.'a.Mar.nuH559again,Beholdרְא֣וּre.'UH7200the patternתַּבְנִית֩tav.NitH8403of the altarמִזְבַּ֨חmiz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068,which our fathersאֲבוֹתֵ֗ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1madeעָשׂ֣וּ'a.SuH6213,not for burnt offeringsלְעוֹלָה֙le.'o.LahH5930,nor for sacrificesלְזֶ֔בַחle.Ze.vachH2077; but it isa witnessעֵ֣ד'edH5707between us and you.
29God forbidחָלִילָה֩cha.li.LahH2486that we should rebelלִמְרֹ֣דlim.RodH4775against the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֗הba.Yah.wehH3068,and turnוְלָשׁ֤וּבve.la.ShuvH7725this dayהַיּוֹם֙hai.yOmH3117from followingמֵאַחֲרֵ֣יme.'a.cha.ReiH310the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129an altarמִזְבֵּ֔חַmiz.Be.achH4196for burnt offeringsלְעֹלָ֖הle.'o.LahH5930,for meat offeringsלְמִנְחָ֣הle.min.ChahH4503,or for sacrificesוּלְזָ֑בַחu.le.Za.vachH2077,beside the altarמִזְבַּח֙miz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430that isbeforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440his tabernacleמִשְׁכָּנֽוֹ׃ פmish.ka.NoH4908.
30And when Phinehasפִּֽינְחָ֣סpin.ChasH6372the priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548,and the princesוּנְשִׂיאֵ֨יu.ne.si.'EiH5387of the congregationהָעֵדָ֜הha.'e.DahH5712and headsוְרָאשֵׁ֨יve.ra.SheiH7218of the thousandsאַלְפֵ֤י'al.FeiH505of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478which werewith him, heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֞עvai.yish.Ma'H8085the wordsהַ֨דְּבָרִ֔יםha.de.va.RimH1697that the childrenבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of Reubenרְאוּבֵ֥ןre.'u.VenH7205and the childrenוּבְנֵי־u.ve.nei-H1121of Gadגָ֖דgadH1410and the childrenוּבְנֵ֣יu.ve.NeiH1121of Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֑הme.na.ShehH4519spakeדִּבְּר֛וּdi.be.RuH1696,it pleasedוַיִּיטַ֖ב בְּעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃vai.yi.Tav be.'ei.nei.HemH5869H3190them.
31And Phinehasפִּֽינְחָ֣סpin.ChasH6372the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֣ר'el.'a.ZarH499the priestהַכֹּהֵ֡ןha.ko.HenH3548saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto the childrenבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of Reubenרְאוּבֵ֨ןre.'u.VenH7205,and to the childrenבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of Gadגָ֜דgadH1410,and to the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֗הme.na.ShehH4519,This dayהַיּ֤וֹם׀hai.YomH3117we perceiveיָדַ֙עְנוּ֙ya.Da'.nuH3045that the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068isamongבְתוֹכֵ֣נוּve.to.Khe.nuH8432us, because ye have not committedמְעַלְתֶּ֥םme.'al.TemH4603this trespassהַמַּ֣עַלha.Ma.'alH4604against the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֖הba.Yah.wehH3068:nowאָ֗ז'AzH227ye have deliveredהִצַּלְתֶּ֛םhi.tzal.TemH5337the childrenבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478out of the handמִיַּ֥דmi.YadH3027of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
32And Phinehasפִּֽינְחָ֣סpin.ChasH6372the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֣ר'el.'a.ZarH499the priestהַכֹּהֵ֣ן׀ha.ko.HenH3548,and the princesוְהַנְּשִׂיאִ֡יםve.ha.ne.si.'ImH5387,returnedH7725from the childrenבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Reubenרְאוּבֵן֩re.'u.VenH7205,and from the childrenבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of Gadגָ֜דgadH1410,out of the landמֵאֶ֧רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Gileadהַגִּלְעָ֛דha.gil.'AdH1568,unto the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנַ֖עַןke.Na.'anH3667,to the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and broughtH7725them wordדָּבָֽר׃da.VarH1697againH7725.
33And the thingהַדָּבָ֗רha.da.VarH1697pleasedוַיִּיטַ֣ב בְּעֵינֵי֙vai.yi.Tav be.'ei.NeiH5869H3190the childrenH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and the childrenH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478blessedוַיְבָרֲכ֥וּvay.va.ra.KhuH1288Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430,and did not intendאָמְר֗וּ'a.me.RuH559to go upלַעֲל֤וֹתla.'a.LotH5927against them in battleלַצָּבָ֔אla.tza.Va'H6635,to destroyלְשַׁחֵת֙le.sha.ChetH7843the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776wherein the childrenH1121of Reubenרְאוּבֵ֥ןre.'u.VenH7205and Gadגָ֖דgadH1410dweltיֹשְׁבִ֥יםyo.she.VimH3427.
