14Calebכָּלֵ֔בka.LevH3612droveוַיֹּ֤רֶשׁvai.Yo.reshH3423out from thereמִשָּׁם֙mi.ShamH8033the threeשְׁלוֹשָׁ֖הshe.lo.ShahH7969sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Anakהָעֲנָ֑קha.'a.NakH6061:Sheshaiשֵׁשַׁ֤יshe.ShaiH8344and Ahimanאֲחִימַן֙'a.chi.ManH289and Talmaiתַּלְמַ֔יtal.MaiH8526,the childrenיְלִידֵ֖יye.li.DeiH3211of Anakהָעֲנָֽק׃ha.'a.NakH6061.

15Thenhe wentוַיַּ֣עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927up from thereמִשָּׁ֔םmi.ShamH8033againstאֶל־'el-H413the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֖יyo.she.VeiH3427of Debirדְּבִ֑רde.VirH1688;now the nameוְשֵׁם־ve.shem-H8034of Debirדְּבִ֥רde.VirH1688formerlyלְפָנִ֖יםle.fa.NimH6440was Kiriath-sepherH7158.

16And Calebכָּלֵ֔בka.LevH3612saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “The one whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834attacksיַכֶּ֥הya.KehH5221Kiriath-sepherH7158and capturesוּלְכָדָ֑הּu.le.kha.DahH3920it,I will giveוְנָתַ֥תִּיve.na.Ta.tiH5414him Achsahעַכְסָ֥ה'akh.SahH5915my daughterבִתִּ֖יvi.TiH1323as a wifeלְאִשָּֽׁה׃le.'i.ShahH802.”

17Othnielעָתְנִיאֵ֥ל'a.te.ni.'ElH6274the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Kenazקְנַ֖זke.NazH7073,the brotherאֲחִ֣י'a.ChiH251of Calebכָלֵ֑בkha.LevH3612,capturedוַֽיִּלְכְּדָ֛הּvai.yil.ke.DahH3920it; so he gaveוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414him Achsahעַכְסָ֥ה'akh.SahH5915his daughterבִתּ֖וֹvi.ToH1323as a wifeלְאִשָּֽׁה׃le.'i.ShahH802.

18It cameוַיְהִ֣יvay.HiH1961about that when she cameבְּבוֹאָ֗הּbe.vo.'AhH935to him,she persuadedוַתְּסִיתֵ֙הוּ֙va.te.si.Te.huH5496him to askלִשְׁא֤וֹלlish.'olH7592her fatherאָבִ֙יהָ֙'a.Vi.haH1for a fieldשָׂדֶ֔הsa.DehH7704.So she alightedוַתִּצְנַ֖חva.titz.NachH6795from the donkeyהַחֲמ֑וֹרha.cha.MorH2543,and Calebכָּלֵ֖בka.LevH3612saidוַיֹּֽאמֶר־vai.yo.mer-H559to her, “Whatמַה־mah-H4100do you want?”

19Then she saidוַתֹּ֜אמֶרva.To.merH559, “Giveתְּנָה־te.nah-H5414me a blessingבְרָכָ֗הve.ra.KhahH1293;sinceכִּ֣יkiH3588you have givenנְתַתָּ֔נִיne.ta.Ta.niH5414me the landאֶ֤רֶץ'E.retzH776of theNegevהַנֶּ֙גֶב֙ha.Ne.gevH5045,giveוְנָתַתָּ֥הve.na.ta.TahH5414me also springsגֻּלֹּ֣תgu.LotH1543of waterמָ֑יִםMa.yimH4325.”So he gaveוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414her the upperעִלִּיּ֔וֹתi.li.YotH5942springsגֻּלֹּ֣תgu.LotH1543and the lowerתַּחְתִּיּֽוֹת׃ פtach.ti.YotH8482springsגֻּלֹּ֥תgu.LotH1543.
