3Forhe rebuiltוַיָּ֗שָׁב וַיִּ֙בֶן֙vai.Ya.shov vai.Yi.venH7725 H1129the highהַבָּמ֔וֹתha.ba.MotH1116placesH1116whichH834Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֣הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396his fatherאָבִ֑יו'a.VivH1had destroyedאִבַּ֖ד'i.BadH6; andhe erectedוַיָּ֨קֶםvai.Ya.kemH6965altarsמִזְבְּחֹ֜תmiz.be.ChotH4196for Baalלַבַּ֗עַלla.Ba.'alH1168and madeוַיַּ֤עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213anAsherahאֲשֵׁרָה֙'a.she.RahH842,as Ahabאַחְאָב֙'ach.'AvH256kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478had doneעָשָׂ֗ה'a.SahH6213, andworshipedוַיִּשְׁתַּ֙חוּ֙vai.yish.Ta.chuH7812allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the hostצְבָ֣אtze.Va'H6635of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064and servedוַֽיַּעֲבֹ֖דvai.ya.'a.VodH5647them.

4He builtוּבָנָ֥הu.va.NahH1129altarsמִזְבְּחֹ֖תmiz.be.ChotH4196in the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,of whichאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068had saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559, “In Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389I will putאָשִׂ֥ים'a.SimH7760My nameשְׁמִֽי׃she.MiH8034.”

5For he builtוַיִּ֥בֶןvai.Yi.venH1129altarsמִזְבְּח֖וֹתmiz.be.ChotH4196forallלְכָל־le.kholH3605the hostצְבָ֣אtze.Va'H6635of heavenהַשָּׁמָ֑יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064inthe twoבִּשְׁתֵּ֖יbish.TeiH8147courtsחַצְר֥וֹתchatz.RotH2691of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

6He made his sonבְּנוֹ֙be.NoH1121passוְהֶעֱבִ֤ירve.he.'e.VirH5674through the fireבָּאֵ֔שׁba.'EshH784,practicedH6049witchcraftH6049and usedH5172divinationוְנִחֵ֔שׁve.ni.CheshH5172,and dealtוְעָ֥שָׂהve.'A.sahH6213with mediumsא֖וֹב'ovH178and spiritistsוְיִדְּעֹנִ֑יםve.yi.de.'o.NimH3049.He didלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213muchהִרְבָּ֗הhir.BahH7235evilהָרַ֛עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068provokingלְהַכְעִֽיס׃le.hakh.'IsH3707Him to anger.

7Thenhe setוַיָּ֕שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760the carvedH6459imageפֶּ֥סֶלPe.selH6459of Asherahהָאֲשֵׁרָ֖הha.'a.she.RahH842that he had madeעָשָׂ֑ה'a.SahH6213,in the houseבַּבַּ֗יִתba.Ba.yitH1004of whichH834the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559to Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732and to his sonבְנ֔וֹve.NoH1121Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֣הshe.lo.MohH8010, “In thisהַזֶּ֜הha.ZehH2088houseבַּבַּ֨יִתba.Ba.yitH1004and in Jerusalemוּבִירוּשָׁלִַ֗םu.vi.ru.sha.LimH3389,whichH834I have chosenבָּחַ֙רְתִּי֙ba.Char.tiH977from allמִכֹּל֙mi.KolH3605the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,I will putאָשִׂ֥ים'a.SimH7760My nameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034foreverלְעוֹלָֽם׃le.'o.LamH5769.

8And Iwill not make the feetרֶ֣גֶלRe.gelH7272of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478wanderלְהָנִיד֙le.ha.NidH5110anymoreאֹסִ֗יף'o.SifH3254from the landהָ֣אֲדָמָ֔הha.'a.da.MahH127whichH834I gaveנָתַ֖תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414their fathersלַֽאֲבוֹתָ֑םla.'a.vo.TamH1,ifאִם־'im-H518onlyH7534they will observeיִשְׁמְר֣וּyish.me.RuH8104to doלַעֲשׂ֗וֹתla.'a.SotH6213according to allכְּכֹל֙ke.KholH3605that I have commandedצִוִּיתִ֔יםtzi.vi.TimH6680them, and according to allוּלְכָל־u.le.khol-H3605the lawהַ֨תּוֹרָ֔הha.to.RahH8451that My servantעַבְדִּ֥י'av.DiH5650Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680them.”
