Revelation 1:14-20

14His head and His 1hair were white like white wool, like snow; and 2His eyes were like a flame of fire. 15His 3feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His 4voice was like the sound of many waters. 16In His right hand He held 5seven stars, and out of His mouth came a 6sharp two-edged sword; and His 7face was like 8the sun 9shining in its strength.

17When I saw Him, I 10fell at His feet like a dead man. And He 11placed His right hand on me, saying, “12Do not be afraid; 13I am the first and the last, 18and the 14living One; and I 1516was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have 17the keys of death and of Hades. 19Therefore 18write 19the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place 20after these things. 20As for the 21mystery of the 22seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the 23seven golden lampstands: the 24seven stars are the angels of 25the seven churches, and the seven 26lampstands are the seven churches.
