Revelation 1:1-3
1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which 1God gave Him to 2show to His bond-servants, 3the things which must soon take place; and He sent and 4communicated it 5by His angel to His bond-servant 6John, 2who testified to 7the word of God and to 8the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 39Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and 10heed the things which are written in it; 11for the time is near.
