A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.

1O Godאֱלֹהִ֤ים׀'E.lo.HimH430, thou artmy Godאֵלִ֥י'e.LiH410;early will I seekאֲֽשַׁחֲ֫רֶ֥ךָּ'asha.Cha.Re.kaH7836thee: my soulנַפְשִׁ֗יnaf.ShiH5315thirstethצָמְאָ֬הtza.me.'AhH6770for thee, my fleshבְשָׂרִ֑יve.sa.RiH1320longethכָּמַ֣הּka.MahH3642for thee in a dryצִיָּ֖הtzi.YahH6723and thirstyוְעָיֵ֣ףve.'a.YefH5889landבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776,where noבְּלִי־be.li-H1097waterמָֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325is;

2To seeלִרְא֥וֹתlir.'otH7200thy powerעֻ֝זְּךָ֗'u.ze.khaH5797and thy gloryוּכְבוֹדֶֽךָ׃u.khe.vo.De.khaH3519, so asI have seenחֲזִיתִ֑יךָcha.zi.Ti.khaH2372thee in the sanctuaryבַּקֹּ֣דֶשׁba.Ko.deshH6944.

3Because thy lovingkindnessחַ֭סְדְּךָChas.de.khaH2617isbetterט֣וֹבTovH2896than lifeמֵֽחַיִּ֗יםme.chai.YimH2416,my lipsשְׂפָתַ֥יse.fa.TaiH8193shall praiseיְשַׁבְּחֽוּנְךָ׃ye.sha.be.Chu.ne.khaH7623thee.

4Thus will I blessאֲבָרֶכְךָ֣'a.va.rekh.KhaH1288thee while I liveH2416:I will lift upאֶשָּׂ֥א'e.Sa'H5375my handsכַפָּֽי׃kha.PaiH3709in thy nameבְּ֝שִׁמְךָBe.shim.khaH8034.

5My soulנַפְשִׁ֑יnaf.ShiH5315shall be satisfiedתִּשְׂבַּ֣עtis.Ba'H7646as withmarrowחֵ֣לֶבChe.levH2459and fatnessוָ֭דֶשֶׁןVa.de.shenH1880;and my mouthפִּֽי׃PiH6310shall praiseיְהַלֶּל־ye.ha.lel-H1984theewith joyfulרְ֝נָנ֗וֹתre.na.NotH7445lipsוְשִׂפְתֵ֥יve.sif.TeiH8193:

6When I rememberזְכַרְתִּ֥יךָze.khar.Ti.khaH2142thee upon my bedיְצוּעָ֑יye.tzu.'AiH3326, andmeditateאֶהְגֶּה־'eh.geh-H1897on thee in the nightwatchesבְּ֝אַשְׁמֻר֗וֹתbe.'ash.mu.RotH821.

7Because thou hast been my helpעֶזְרָ֣תָה'ez.Ra.tahH5833,therefore in the shadowוּבְצֵ֖לu.ve.TzelH6738of thy wingsכְּנָפֶ֣יךָke.na.Fei.khaH3671will I rejoiceאֲרַנֵּֽן׃'a.ra.NenH7442.

8My soulנַפְשִׁ֣יnaf.ShiH5315followeth hardדָּבְקָ֣הda.ve.KahH1692afterאַחֲרֶ֑יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310thee: thy right handיְמִינֶֽךָ׃ye.mi.Ne.khaH3225upholdethתָּמְכָ֥הta.me.KhahH8551me.

9But those thatseekיְבַקְשׁ֣וּye.vak.ShuH1245my soulH5315,to destroyלְ֭שׁוֹאָהLe.sho.'ahH7722it,shall goיָ֝בֹ֗אוּya.Vo.'uH935into the lower partsבְּֽתַחְתִּיּ֥וֹתbe.tach.ti.YotH8482of the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

10They shall fallיַגִּירֻ֥הוּya.gi.Ru.huH5064by the swordיְדֵי־ חָ֑רֶבye.dei- Cha.revH2719 H3027:they shall be a portionמְנָ֖תme.NatH4521for foxesשֻׁעָלִ֣יםshu.'a.LimH7776.

11But the kingוְהַמֶּלֶךְ֮ve.ha.me.leKhH4428shall rejoiceיִשְׂמַ֪חyis.MachH8055in Godבֵּאלֹ֫הִ֥יםbe.Lo.HimH430;every one that swearethהַנִּשְׁבָּ֣עha.nish.Ba'H7650by him shall gloryיִ֭תְהַלֵּלYit.ha.lelH1984:but the mouthפִּ֣יpiH6310of them that speakדֽוֹבְרֵי־dov.rei-H1696liesשָֽׁקֶר׃Sha.kerH8267shall be stoppedיִ֝סָּכֵ֗רyi.sa.KherH5534.
