2And he didוַיַּ֥עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213that which wasevilהָרַ֖עha.Ra'H7451in the eyesבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,according to all that Jehoiakimיְהוֹיָקִֽים׃ye.ho.ya.KimH3079had doneעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213.

3For throughH5921the angerאַ֣ף'afH639of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068it came to pass in Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִַ֣םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389and Judahוִֽיהוּדָ֔הvi.hu.DahH3063,till he had cast them outהִשְׁלִיכ֥וֹhish.li.KhoH7993from his presenceפָּנָ֑יוpa.NavH6440,that Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֖הוּtzid.ki.Ya.huH6667rebelledוַיִּמְרֹ֥דvai.yim.RodH4775against the kingבְּמֶ֥לֶךְbe.Me.lekhH4428of Babylonבָּבֶֽל׃ba.VelH894.

4And it came to pass in the ninthהַתְּשִׁעִ֜יתha.te.shi.'ItH8671yearבַשָּׁנָ֨הva.sha.NahH8141of his reignלְמָלְכ֗וֹle.ma.le.KhoH4427,in the tenthהָעֲשִׂירִי֮ha.'a.si.RiH6224monthבַּחֹ֣דֶשׁba.Cho.deshH2320,in the tenthבֶּעָשׂ֣וֹרbe.'a.SorH6218dayof the monthלַחֹדֶשׁ֒la.cho.DeshH2320, thatNebuchadrezzarנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֨רne.vu.khad.re.TzarH5019kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֜לba.VelH894cameבָּ֠אba'H935,he and all his armyחֵילוֹ֙chei.LoH2428,against Jerusalemיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389,and pitchedוַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּvai.ya.cha.NuH2583against it, and builtוַיִּבְנ֥וּvai.yiv.NuH1129fortsדָּיֵ֖קda.YekH1785against it round aboutסָבִֽיב׃sa.VivH5439.

5Soוַתָּבֹ֥אva.ta.Vo'H935the cityהָעִ֖ירha.'IrH5892was besiegedבַּמָּצ֑וֹרba.ma.TzorH4692unto the eleventhעַשְׁתֵּ֣י עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה'ash.Tei 'es.RehH6240 H6249yearשָׁנָ֔הsha.NahH8141of kingלַמֶּ֖לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּֽהוּ׃tzid.ki.Ya.huH6667.

6And in the fourthהָֽרְבִיעִי֙ha.re.vi.'IH7243monthבַּחֹ֤דֶשׁba.Cho.deshH2320,in the ninthבְּתִשְׁעָ֣הbe.tish.'AhH8672dayof the monthלַחֹ֔דֶשׁla.Cho.deshH2320,the famineהָרָעָ֖בha.ra.'AvH7458was soreוַיֶּחֱזַ֥קvai.ye.che.ZakH2388in the cityבָּעִ֑ירba.'IrH5892,so that there was no breadלֶ֖חֶםLe.chemH3899for the peopleלְעַ֥םle.'AmH5971of the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

7Then the cityהָעִ֗ירha.'IrH5892was broken upוַתִּבָּקַ֣עva.ti.ba.Ka'H1234,and all the menאַנְשֵׁ֣י'an.SheiH582of warהַמִּלְחָמָ֡הha.mil.cha.MahH4421fledיִבְרְחוּ֩yiv.re.ChuH1272,and went forthוַיֵּצְא֨וּvai.ye.tze.'UH3318out of the cityמֵהָעִ֜ירme.ha.'IrH5892by nightלַ֗יְלָהLay.lahH3915by the wayדֶּ֜רֶךְDe.rekhH1870of the gateשַׁ֤עַרSha.'arH8179between the two wallsהַחֹמֹתַ֙יִם֙ha.cho.mo.Ta.yimH2346, which wasby the king’sהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428gardenגַּ֣ןganH1588; (now the Chaldeansוְכַשְׂדִּ֥יםve.khas.DimH3778wereby the cityהָעִ֖ירha.'IrH5892round aboutסָבִ֑יבsa.VivH5439:)and they wentH3212by the wayדֶּ֥רֶךְDe.rekhH1870of the plainהָעֲרָבָֽה׃ha.'a.ra.VahH6160.

8But the armyחֵיל־cheil-H2428of the Chaldeansכַּשְׂדִּים֙kas.DimH3778pursuedוַיִּרְדְּפ֤וּvai.yir.de.FuH7291afterאַחֲרֵ֣י'a.cha.ReiH310the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,and overtookוַיַּשִּׂ֥יגוּvai.ya.Si.guH5381Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֖הוּtzid.ki.Ya.huH6667in the plainsבְּעַֽרְבֹ֣תbe.'ar.VotH6160of Jerichoיְרֵח֑וֹye.re.ChoH3405;and all his armyחֵיל֔וֹchei.LoH2428was scatteredנָפֹ֖צוּna.Fo.tzuH6327from him.

9Then they tookוַֽיִּתְפְּשׂוּ֙vai.yit.pe.SuH8610the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,and carried him upוַיַּעֲל֨וּvai.ya.'a.LuH5927unto the kingמֶ֧לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֛לba.VelH894to Riblahרִבְלָ֖תָהriv.La.tahH7247in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Hamathחֲמָ֑תcha.MatH2574;where he gaveוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696judgmentמִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃mish.pa.TimH4941upon him.

10And the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֛לba.VelH894slewוַיִּשְׁחַ֧טvai.yish.ChatH7819the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֖הוּtzid.ki.Ya.huH6667before his eyesלְעֵינָ֑יוle.'ei.NavH5869:he slewשָׁחַ֥טsha.ChatH7819also all the princesשָׂרֵ֥יsa.ReiH8269of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063in Riblahבְּרִבְלָֽתָה׃be.riv.La.tahH7247.

11Then he put outעִוֵּ֑ר'i.VerH5786the eyesעֵינֵ֥י'ei.NeiH5869of Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֖הוּtzid.ki.Ya.huH6667;and the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶל֙ba.VelH894boundוַיַּאַסְרֵ֣הוּvai.ya.'as.Re.huH631him in chainsבַֽנְחֻשְׁתַּ֗יִםvan.chush.Ta.yimH5178,and carriedוַיְבִאֵ֤הוּvay.vi.'E.huH935him to Babylonבָּבֶ֔לָהba.Ve.lahH894,and putוַיִּתְּנֵ֥הוּvai.yi.te.Ne.huH5414him in prisonבֵֽית הַפְּקֻדֹּ֖תveit- ha.pe.ku.DotH6486 H1004till the dayי֥וֹםYomH3117of his deathמוֹתֽוֹ׃mo.ToH4194.
