20Then Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto all the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971,to the menהַגְּבָרִ֤יםha.ge.va.RimH1397,and to the womenהַנָּשִׁים֙ha.na.ShimH802,and to all the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971which had given him thatanswerהָעֹנִ֥ים דָּבָ֖רha.'o.Nim da.VarH6030 H1697,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

21The incenseהַקִּטֵּ֗רha.ki.TerH7002that ye burnedקִטַּרְתֶּ֜םki.tar.TemH6999in the citiesבְּעָרֵ֤יbe.'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063,and in the streetsוּבְחֻצ֣וֹתu.ve.chu.TzotH2351of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,ye, and your fathersוַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֛םva.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1,your kingsמַלְכֵיכֶ֥םmal.khei.KhemH4428,and your princesוְשָׂרֵיכֶ֖םve.sa.rei.KhemH8269,and the peopleוְעַ֣םve.'AmH5971of the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,did not the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068rememberזָכַ֣רza.KharH2142them, and cameוַֽתַּעֲלֶ֖הva.ta.'a.LehH5927it notinto his mindלִבּֽוֹ׃li.BoH3820?

22So that the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068couldיוּכַל֩yu.KhalH3201no longer bearלָשֵׂ֗אתla.SetH5375,becauseמִפְּנֵי֙mi.pe.NeiH6440of the evilרֹ֣עַRo.a'H7455of your doingsמַעַלְלֵיכֶ֔םma.'a.lei.KhemH4611, andbecauseמִפְּנֵ֥יmi.pe.NeiH6440of the abominationsהַתּוֹעֵבֹ֖תha.to.'e.VotH8441which ye have committedעֲשִׂיתֶ֑ם'a.si.TemH6213;therefore is your landאַ֠רְצְכֶם'Ar.tze.khemH776a desolationלְחָרְבָּ֨הle.cha.re.BahH2723,and an astonishmentוּלְשַׁמָּ֧הu.le.sha.MahH8047,and a curseוְלִקְלָלָ֛הve.lik.la.LahH7045,without an inhabitantיוֹשֵׁ֖בyo.ShevH3427,as at this dayכְּהַיּ֥וֹםke.hai.YomH3117.

23Becauseמִפְּנֵי֩mi.pe.NeiH834 H6440ye have burned incenseקִטַּרְתֶּ֜םki.tar.TemH6999,and because ye have sinnedחֲטָאתֶ֣םcha.ta.TemH2398against the Lordלַיהוָ֗הla.Yah.wehH3068,and have not obeyedשְׁמַעְתֶּם֙she.ma'.TemH8085the voiceבְּק֣וֹלbe.KolH6963of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,nor walkedהֲלַכְתֶּ֑םha.lakh.TemH1980in his lawוּבְתֹרָת֧וֹu.ve.to.ra.ToH8451,nor in his statutesוּבְחֻקֹּתָ֛יוu.ve.chu.ko.TavH2708,nor in his testimoniesוּבְעֵדְוֹתָ֖יוu.ve.'e.de.vo.TavH5715;therefore this evilהָרָעָ֥הha.ra.'AhH7451is happenedקָרָ֥אתka.RatH7122unto you, as at this dayכַּיּ֥וֹםkai.YomH3117.

24Moreover Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙yir.me.Ya.huH3414saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto all the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971,and to all the womenהַנָּשִׁ֑יםha.na.ShimH802,Hearשִׁמְעוּ֙shim.'UH8085the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,all Judahיְהוּדָ֕הye.hu.DahH3063that arein the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃ סmitz.Ra.yimH4714:

25Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָֽה־Yah.weh-H3068of hostsצְבָאוֹת֩tze.va.'OtH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֨י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559;Ye and your wivesוּנְשֵׁיכֶ֜םu.ne.shei.KhemH802have both spokenוַתְּדַבֵּ֣רְנָהva.te.da.Be.re.nahH1696with your mouthsבְּפִיכֶם֮be.fi.KhemH6310,and fulfilledמִלֵּאתֶ֣ם׀mi.le.TemH4390with your handוּבִידֵיכֶ֣םu.vi.dei.KhemH3027,sayingלֵאמֹר֒le.MorH559,We will surelyעָשֹׂ֨ה'a.SohH6213performנַעֲשֶׂ֜הna.'a.SehH6213our vowsנְדָרֵ֗ינוּne.da.Rei.nuH5088that we have vowedנָדַ֙רְנוּ֙na.Dar.nuH5087,to burn incenseלְקַטֵּר֙le.ka.TerH6999to the queenלִמְלֶ֣כֶתlim.Le.khetH4446of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and to pour outוּלְהַסֵּ֥ךְu.le.ha.SekhH5258drink offeringsנְסָכִ֑יםne.sa.KhimH5262unto her: ye will surelyהָקֵ֤יםha.KeimH6965accomplishתָּקִ֙ימְנָה֙ta.Ki.me.nahH6965your vowsנִדְרֵיכֶ֔םnid.rei.KhemH5088,and surelyוְעָשֹׂ֥הve.'a.SohH6213performתַעֲשֶׂ֖ינָהta.'a.Sei.nahH6213your vowsנִדְרֵיכֶֽם׃ פnid.rei.KhemH5088.

26Therefore hearשִׁמְע֣וּshim.'UH8085ye the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,all Judahיְהוּדָ֕הye.hu.DahH3063that dwellהַיֹּשְׁבִ֖יםhai.yo.she.VimH3427in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714;Behold, I have swornנִשְׁבַּ֜עְתִּיnish.Ba'.tiH7650by my greatהַגָּדוֹל֙ha.ga.dOlH1419nameבִּשְׁמִ֤יbish.MiH8034,saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,that my nameשְׁמִ֜יshe.MiH8034shall no more be namedנִקְרָ֣א׀nik.Ra'H7121in the mouthבְּפִ֣י׀be.FiH6310of any manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063in all the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714,sayingאֹמֵ֛ר'o.MerH559,The Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֖הYah.wehH3069livethחַי־chai-H2416.

27Behold, I will watchשֹׁקֵ֧דsho.KedH8245over them for evilלְרָעָ֖הle.ra.'AhH7451,and not for goodלְטוֹבָ֑הle.to.VahH2896:and all the menאִ֨ישׁ'ishH376of Judahיְהוּדָ֜הye.hu.DahH3063that arein the landבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776of Egyptמִצְרַ֛יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714shall be consumedוְתַמּוּ֩ve.ta.MuH8552by the swordבַּחֶ֥רֶבba.Che.revH2719and by the famineוּבָרָעָ֖בu.va.ra.'AvH7458,until there be an endכְּלוֹתָֽם׃ke.lo.TamH3615of them.

28Yet a smallמְתֵ֣יme.TeiH4962numberמִסְפָּ֑רmis.ParH4557that escapeוּפְלִיטֵ֨יu.fe.li.TeiH6412the swordחֶ֜רֶבChe.revH2719shall return outיְשֻׁב֨וּןye.shu.VunH7725of the landאֶ֧רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֛יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714into the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063,and all the remnantשְׁאֵרִ֣יתshe.'e.RitH7611of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063,that are goneהַבָּאִ֤יםha.ba.'ImH935into the landלְאֶֽרֶץ־le.'e.retz-H776of Egyptמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4714to sojournלָג֣וּרla.GurH1481there, shall knowוְֽיָדְע֞וּve.ya.de.'UH3045whose wordsדְּבַר־de.var-H1697shall standיָק֖וּםya.KumH6965, mine, or theirs.
