5Declareהַגִּ֣ידוּha.Gi.duH5046ye in Judahבִֽיהוּדָ֗הvi.hu.DahH3063,and publishהַשְׁמִ֔יעוּhash.Mi.'uH8085in Jerusalemוּבִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙u.vi.ru.sha.LimH3389;and sayוְאִמְר֕וּve.'im.RuH559,Blowתִּקְע֥וּv.tik.'uH8628ye the trumpetשׁוֹפָ֖רsho.FarH7782in the landבָּאָ֑רֶץba.'A.retzH776:cryקִרְא֤וּkir.'UH7121,gather togetherמַלְאוּ֙mal.'UH4390,and sayוְאִמְר֔וּve.'im.RuH559,Assembleהֵאָסְפ֥וּhe.'a.se.FuH622yourselves, and let us goוְנָב֖וֹאָהve.na.Vo.'ahH935into the defencedהַמִּבְצָֽר׃ha.miv.TzarH4013citiesעָרֵ֥י'a.ReiH5892.

6Set upשְׂאוּ־se.'u-H5375the standardנֵ֣סnesH5251toward Zionצִיּ֔וֹנָהtzi.Yo.nahH6726:retireהָעִ֖יזוּha.'I.zuH5756,stayתַּעֲמֹ֑דוּta.'a.Mo.duH5975not: for I will bringמֵבִ֥יאme.Vi'H935evilרָעָ֗הra.'AhH7451from the northמִצָּפ֖וֹןmi.tza.FonH6828,and a greatגָּדֽוֹל׃ga.DolH1419destructionוְשֶׁ֥בֶרve.She.verH7667.

7The lionאַרְיֵה֙'ar.YehH738is come upעָלָ֤ה'a.LahH5927from his thicketמִֽסֻּבְּכ֔וֹmi.su.be.KhoH5441,and the destroyerוּמַשְׁחִ֣יתu.mash.ChitH7843of the Gentilesגּוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471is on his wayנָסַ֖עna.Sa'H5265;he is gone forthיָצָ֣אya.Tza'H3318from his placeמִמְּקֹמ֑וֹmi.me.ko.MoH4725to makeלָשׂ֤וּםla.SumH7760thy landאַרְצֵךְ֙'ar.tzeKhH776desolateלְשַׁמָּ֔הle.sha.MahH8047; andthy citiesעָרַ֥יִךְ'a.Ra.yikhH5892shall be laid wasteתִּצֶּ֖ינָהti.Tzei.nahH5327,without an inhabitantיוֹשֵֽׁב׃yo.ShevH3427.

8For this girdחִגְר֥וּchig.RuH2296you with sackclothשַׂקִּ֖יםsa.KimH8242,lamentסִפְד֣וּsif.DuH5594and howlוְהֵילִ֑ילוּve.hei.Li.luH3213:for the fierceחֲר֥וֹןcha.RonH2740angerאַף־'af-H639of the Lordיְהֹוָ֖הYah.wehH3068is not turned backשָׁ֛בshavH7725from us.

9And it shall come to pass at that dayבַיּוֹם־vai.yom-H3117,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, thatthe heartלֵב־lev-H3820of the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428shall perishיֹאבַ֥דyo.VadH6,and the heartוְלֵ֣בve.LevH3820of the princesהַשָּׂרִ֑יםha.sa.RimH8269;and the priestsהַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔יםha.Ko.ha.NimH3548shall be astonishedוְנָשַׁ֙מּוּ֙ve.na.Sha.muH8074,and the prophetsוְהַנְּבִיאִ֖יםve.ha.ne.vi.'ImH5030shall wonderיִתְמָֽהוּ׃yit.Ma.huH8539.

10Then saidוָאֹמַ֞רva.'o.MarH559I, Ahאֲהָ֣הּ׀'a.HahH162,Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֗הYah.wehH3069!surelyאָכֵן֩'a.KhenH403thou hast greatlyהַשֵּׁ֨אha.She'H5377deceivedהִשֵּׁ֜אתָhi.She.taH5377this peopleלָעָ֤םla.'AmH5971and Jerusalemוְלִירוּשָׁלִַ֣םve.li.ru.sha.LimH3389,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Ye shall have peaceשָׁל֖וֹםsha.LomH7965;whereas the swordחֶ֖רֶבChe.revH2719reachethוְנָגְעָ֥הve.na.ge.'AhH5060unto the soulהַנָּֽפֶשׁ׃ha.Na.feshH5315.

11At that timeבָּעֵ֣תba.'EtH6256shall it be saidיֵאָמֵ֤רye.'a.MerH559to this peopleלָֽעָם־la.'om-H5971and to Jerusalemוְלִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םve.li.Ru.sha.LimH3389,A dryצַ֤חtzachH6703windר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of the high placesשְׁפָיִים֙she.fa.YimH8205in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֔רba.mid.BarH4057towardדֶּ֖רֶךְDe.rekhH1870the daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of my peopleעַמִּ֑י'a.MiH5971,not to fanלִזְר֖וֹתliz.RotH2219,nor to cleanseלְהָבַֽר׃le.ha.VarH1305,

12Evena fullמָלֵ֛אma.Le'H4392windר֧וּחַRu.achH7307from those placesshall comeיָ֣בוֹאYa.Vo'H935unto me: now also will I giveאֲדַבֵּ֥ר'a.da.BerH1696sentenceמִשְׁפָּטִ֖יםmish.pa.TimH4941against them.

13Behold, he shall come upיַעֲלֶ֗הya.'a.LehH5927as cloudsכַּעֲנָנִ֣יםka.'a.na.NimH6051,and his chariotsמַרְכְּבוֹתָ֔יוmar.ke.vo.TavH4818shall beas a whirlwindוְכַסּוּפָה֙ve.kha.su.FahH5492:his horsesסוּסָ֑יוsu.SavH5483are swifterקַלּ֥וּka.LuH7043than eaglesמִנְּשָׁרִ֖יםmi.ne.sha.RimH5404.Woeא֥וֹי'oH188unto us! for we are spoiledשֻׁדָּֽדְנוּ׃shu.Da.de.nuH7703.

16Make ye mentionהַזְכִּ֣ירוּhaz.Ki.ruH2142to the nationsלַגּוֹיִ֗םla.go.YimH1471;behold, publishהַשְׁמִ֣יעוּhash.Mi.'uH8085against Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389, thatwatchersנֹצְרִ֥יםno.tze.RimH5341comeבָּאִ֖יםba.'ImH935from a farהַמֶּרְחָ֑קha.mer.ChakH4801countryמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776,and give outוַֽיִּתְּנ֛וּvai.yi.te.NuH5414their voiceקוֹלָֽם׃ko.LamH6963against the citiesעָרֵ֥י'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063.

17As keepersכְּשֹׁמְרֵ֣יke.sho.me.ReiH8104of a fieldשָׂדַ֔יsa.DaiH7704,are they against her round aboutמִסָּבִ֑יבmi.sa.VivH5439;because she hath been rebelliousמָרָ֖תָהma.Ra.tahH4784against me, saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

18Thy wayדַּרְכֵּךְ֙dar.keKhH1870and thy doingsוּמַ֣עֲלָלַ֔יִךְu.Ma.'a.la.La.yikhH4611have procuredעָשׂ֥וֹa.SoH6213these things unto thee; this isthy wickednessרָעָתֵךְ֙ra.'a.teKhH7451,because it is bitterH4751,because it reachethנָגַ֖עna.Ga'H5060unto thine heartלִבֵּֽךְ׃ סli.BekhH3820.
