Jeremiah 26:1-15

1In the beginningבְּרֵאשִׁ֗יתbe.re.ShitH7225of the reignמַמְלְכ֛וּתmam.le.KhutH4468of Jehoiakimיְהוֹיָקִ֥יםye.ho.ya.KimH3079the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Josiahיֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּyo.shi.Ya.huH2977kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063came this wordהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697from the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

2Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068;Standעֲמֹד֮'a.ModH5975in the courtבַּחֲצַ֣רba.cha.TzarH2691of the Lord’sיְהוָה֒Yah.wehH3068houseבֵּית־beit-H1004,and speakוְדִבַּרְתָּ֞ve.di.bar.TaH1696unto all the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063,which comeהַבָּאִים֙ha.ba.'ImH935to worshipלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹ֣תle.hish.ta.cha.VotH7812in the Lord’sיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068houseבֵּית־beit-H1004,all the wordsהַדְּבָרִ֔יםha.de.va.RimH1697that I commandצִוִּיתִ֖יךָtzi.vi.Ti.khaH6680thee to speakלְדַבֵּ֣רle.da.BerH1696unto them; diminishתִּגְרַ֖עtig.Ra'H1639not a wordדָּבָֽר׃da.VarH1697:

3If so be they will hearkenיִשְׁמְע֔וּyish.me.'UH8085,and turnוְיָשֻׁ֕בוּve.ya.Shu.vuH7725every manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376from his evilהָרָעָ֑הha.ra.'AhH7451wayמִדַּרְכּ֣וֹmi.dar.KoH1870,that I may repentוְנִחַמְתִּ֣יve.ni.cham.TiH5162me of the evilהָרָעָ֗הha.ra.'AhH7451,which I purposeחֹשֵׁב֙cho.ShevH2803to doלַעֲשׂ֣וֹתla.'a.SotH6213unto them becauseמִפְּנֵ֖יmi.pe.NeiH6440of the evilרֹ֥עַRo.a'H7455of their doingsמַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ma.'a.lei.HemH4611.

4And thou shalt sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559unto them, Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068;If ye will not hearkenתִשְׁמְעוּ֙tish.me.'UH8085to me, to walkH3212in my lawבְּת֣וֹרָתִ֔יbe.To.ra.TiH8451,which I have setנָתַ֖תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414beforeלִפְנֵיכֶֽם׃lif.nei.KhemH6440you,

5To hearkenלִשְׁמֹ֗עַlish.Mo.a'H8085to the wordsדִּבְרֵ֨יdiv.ReiH1697of my servantsעֲבָדַ֣י'a.va.DaiH5650the prophetsהַנְּבִאִ֔יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030,whom I sentשֹׁלֵ֣חַsho.Le.achH7971unto you, both rising up earlyוְהַשְׁכֵּ֥םve.hash.KemH7925,and sendingוְשָׁלֹ֖חַve.sha.Lo.achH7971them,but ye have not hearkenedשְׁמַעְתֶּֽם׃she.ma'.TemH8085;

6Then will I makeוְנָתַתִּ֛יve.na.ta.TiH5414this houseהַבַּ֥יִתha.Ba.yitH1004like Shilohכְּשִׁלֹ֑הke.shi.LohH7887,and will makeאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414this cityהָעִ֤ירha.'IrH5892a curseלִקְלָלָ֔הlik.la.LahH7045to all the nationsגּוֹיֵ֥יgo.YeiH1471of the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ סha.'A.retzH776.

7So the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֥יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548and the prophetsוְהַנְּבִאִ֖יםve.ha.ne.vi.'ImH5030and all the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971heardוַֽיִּשְׁמְע֛וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֔הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414speakingמְדַבֵּ֛רme.da.BerH1696these wordsהַדְּבָרִ֥יםha.de.va.RimH1697in the houseבְּבֵ֥יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

8Now it came to pass, when Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֗הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414had made an endכְּכַלּ֣וֹתke.kha.LotH3615of speakingלְדַבֵּר֙le.da.BerH1696all that the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֣הtzi.VahH6680himto speakלְדַבֵּ֖רle.da.BerH1696unto all the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971,that the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֧יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548and the prophetsוְהַנְּבִאִ֛יםve.ha.ne.vi.'ImH5030and all the peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971tookוַיִּתְפְּשׂ֨וּvai.yit.pe.SuH8610him, sayingלֵאמֹ֖רle.MorH559,Thou shalt surelyמ֥וֹתMotH4191dieתָּמֽוּת׃ta.MutH4191.

9Why hast thou prophesiedנִבֵּ֨יתָni.Bei.taH5012in the nameבְשֵׁם־ve.shem-H8034of the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559,This houseהַבַּ֣יִתha.Ba.yitH1004shall be like Shilohכְּשִׁלוֹ֙ke.shi.LoH7887,and this cityוְהָעִ֥ירve.ha.'IrH5892shall be desolateתֶּחֱרַ֖בte.che.RavH2717without an inhabitantיוֹשֵׁ֑בyo.ShevH3427?And all the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971were gatheredוַיִּקָּהֵ֧לvai.yi.ka.HelH6950against Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414in the houseבְּבֵ֥יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

10When the princesשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063heardוַֽיִּשְׁמְע֣וּ׀vai.yish.me.'UH8085these thingsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697,then they came upוַיַּעֲל֥וּvai.ya.'a.LuH5927from the king’sהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428houseמִבֵּית־mi.beit-H1004unto the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and sat downוַיֵּֽשְׁב֛וּvai.ye.she.VuH3427in the entryבְּפֶ֥תַחbe.Fe.tachH6607of the newהֶחָדָֽשׁ׃ סhe.cha.DashH2319gateשַֽׁעַר־sha.'ar-H8179of the Lord’sיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068house.

11Then spakeוַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֤יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548and the prophetsוְהַנְּבִאִים֙ve.ha.ne.vi.'ImH5030unto the princesהַשָּׂרִ֔יםha.sa.RimH8269and to all the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,This manלָאִ֣ישׁla.'IshH376isworthyמִשְׁפַּט־mish.pat-H4941to dieמָ֙וֶת֙ma.vetH4194;for he hath prophesiedנִבָּא֙ni.Ba'H5012against this cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892,as ye have heardשְׁמַעְתֶּ֖םshe.ma'.TemH8085with your earsבְּאָזְנֵיכֶֽם׃be.'a.ze.nei.KhemH241.

12Then spakeוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙yir.me.Ya.huH3414unto all the princesהַשָּׂרִ֔יםha.sa.RimH8269and to all the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,The Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068sentשְׁלָחַ֗נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971me to prophesyלְהִנָּבֵ֞אle.hi.na.Ve'H5012against this houseהַבַּ֤יִתha.Ba.yitH1004and against this cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892all the wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697that ye have heardשְׁמַעְתֶּֽם׃she.ma'.TemH8085.

13Therefore now amendהֵיטִ֤יבוּhei.Ti.vuH3190your waysדַרְכֵיכֶם֙dar.khei.KhemH1870and your doingsוּמַ֣עַלְלֵיכֶ֔םu.Ma.'a.lei.KhemH4611,and obeyוְשִׁמְע֕וּve.shim.'UH8085the voiceבְּק֖וֹלbe.KolH6963of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430;and the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068will repentוְיִנָּחֵ֣םve.yi.na.ChemH5162him of the evilהָ֣רָעָ֔הha.ra.'AhH7451that he hath pronouncedדִּבֶּ֖רdi.BerH1696against you.

14As for me, behold, I amin your handבְיֶדְכֶ֑םve.yed.KhemH3027:doעֲשׂוּ־'a.su-H6213with me as seemethבְּעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃be.'ei.nei.KhemH5869goodכַּטּ֥וֹבka.TovH2896and meetוְכַיָּשָׁ֖רve.khai.ya.SharH3477unto you.

15But knowיָדֹ֣עַya.Do.a'H3045ye for certainתֵּדְע֗וּte.de.'UH3045,that if ye put me to deathמְמִתִ֣יםme.mi.TimH4191,ye shall surely bringנֹתְנִ֣יםno.te.NimH5414innocentנָקִ֗יna.KiH5355bloodדָ֣םdamH1818upon yourselves, and upon this cityהָעִ֥ירha.'IrH5892,and upon the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֶ֑יהָyo.she.Vei.haH3427thereof: for of a truthבֶאֱמֶ֗תve.'e.MetH571the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068hath sentשְׁלָחַ֤נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971me unto you to speakלְדַבֵּר֙le.da.BerH1696all these wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697in your earsבְּאָזְנֵיכֶ֔םbe.'a.ze.nei.KhemH241.
