Israel Will Reap the Whirlwind

1Put the ram’s hornH7782 toH413 your lipsH2441! An eagleH5404 looms overH5921 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, becauseH3282 the people have transgressedH5674 My covenantH1285 and rebelledH6586 againstH5921 My lawH8451.2IsraelH3478 cries outH2199 to Me, “O our GodH430, we know YouH3045!”3But IsraelH3478 has rejectedH2186 goodH2896; an enemyH341 will pursue himH7291.

4TheyH1992 set up kingsH4427, but notH3808 by MeH4480.They make princesH7786, but withoutH3808 My approvalH3045.With their silverH3701 and goldH2091 they makeH6213 themselves idolsH6091,toH4616 their own destructionH3772.5He has rejectedH2186 your calfH5695,1 O SamariaH8111.My angerH639 burnsH2734 against them.How long will they beH5704 H4970incapableH3808 H3201 of innocenceH5356?6ForH3588 this thingH1931 is from IsraelH3478—a craftsmanH2796 made itH6213, and itH1931 H3588 is notH3808 GodH430.It will beH1961 broken to piecesH7616,that calfH5695 of SamariaH8111.

7ForH3588 they sowH2232 the windH7307,and they shall reapH7114 the whirlwindH5492.There is noH369 standing grainH7054;what sproutsH6780 failsH1097 to yieldH6213 flourH7058.Even ifH194 it should produceH6213,the foreignersH2114 would swallow it upH1104.8IsraelH3478 is swallowed upH1104!NowH6258 they areH1961 among the nationsH1471like a worthlessH369 H2656 vesselH3627.9ForH3588 theyH1992 have gone upH5927 to AssyriaH804like a wild donkeyH6501 on its ownH909.EphraimH669 2 has hiredH8566 loversH158.10ThoughH1571 H3588 they hire alliesH8566 among the nationsH1471,I will nowH6258 round them upH6908,and they will beginH2490 to diminishH4592under the oppressionH4853 of the kingH4428 of princesH8269.

11ThoughH3588 EphraimH669 multipliedH7235 the altarsH4196 for sinH2398,they becameH1961 his altarsH4196 for sinningH2398.12Though I wrote for themH3789 the great thingsH7239 of My lawH8451,they regarded themH2803 asH3644 something strangeH2114.13Though they offerH2076 sacrificesH2077 as gifts to MeH1890,and though they eatH398 the meatH1320,the LORDH3068 does notH3808 accept themH7521.NowH6258 He will rememberH2142 their iniquityH5771 and punishH6485 their sinsH2403:TheyH1992 will returnH7725 to EgyptH4714.14IsraelH3478 has forgottenH7911 his MakerH6213 and builtH1129 palacesH1964;JudahH3063 has multipliedH7235 its fortifiedH1219 citiesH5892.But I will sendH7971 fireH784 upon their citiesH5892,and it will consumeH398 their citadelsH759.
