5and had preparedוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213for Tobiaha largeגְדוֹלָ֗הge.do.LahH1419roomלִשְׁכָּ֣הlish.KahH3957whereוְשָׁ֣ם הָי֪וּve.Sham ha.YuH8033 H1961they had previouslyלְפָנִ֟יםle.fa.NimH6440storedנֹ֠תְנִיםNo.te.nimH5414אֶת־'et-H853the grain offeringsהַמִּנְחָ֨הha.min.ChahH4503,the frankincenseהַלְּבוֹנָ֜הha.le.vo.NahH3828,the temple articlesוְהַכֵּלִ֗יםve.ha.ke.LimH3627,and the tithesוּמַעְשַׂ֤רu.ma'.SarH4643of grainהַדָּגָן֙ha.da.GanH1715,new wineהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁha.ti.Ro.oshH8492,and oilוְהַיִּצְהָ֔רve.hai.yitz.HarH3323prescribedמִצְוַת֙mitz.VatH4687for the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881,singersוְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖יםve.ham.sho.re.RimH7891,and gatekeepersוְהַשֹּׁעֲרִ֑יםve.ha.sho.'a.RimH7778,along with the contributionsוּתְרוּמַ֖תu.te.ru.MatH8641for the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃ha.ko.ha.NimH3548.

7to returnוָאָב֖וֹאva.'a.Vo'H935to Jerusalemלִֽירוּשָׁלִָ֑םli.ru.sha.LimH3389.Then I discoveredוָאָבִ֣ינָהva.'a.Vi.nahH995the evilבָרָעָ֗הva.ra.'AhH7451thatאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834Eliashibאֶלְיָשִׁיב֙'el.ya.ShivH475had doneעָשָׂ֤ה'a.SahH6213on behalf of Tobiahלְט֣וֹבִיָּ֔הle.Toi.YahH2900by providingלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213hima roomנִשְׁכָּ֔הnish.KahH5393in the courtsבְּחַצְרֵ֖יbe.chatz.ReiH2691of the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ha.'E.lo.HimH430.

8And I was greatlyמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966displeasedוַיֵּ֥רַֽעvai.Ye.ra'H7489and threwוָֽאַשְׁלִ֜יכָהva.'ash.Li.khahH7993אֶֽת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605of Tobiah’sטוֹבִיָּ֛הtoi.YahH2900householdבֵית־veit-H1004goodsכְּלֵ֧יke.LeiH3627outהַח֖וּץha.ChutzH2351ofמִן־min-H4480the roomהַלִּשְׁכָּֽה׃ha.lish.KahH3957.

9Then I orderedוָאֹ֣מְרָ֔הva.'O.me.RahH559that the roomsהַלְּשָׁכ֑וֹתha.le.sha.KhotH3957be purifiedוַֽיְטַהֲר֖וּvay.ta.ha.RuH2891,and I had the articlesכְּלֵי֙ke.LeiH3627of the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430אֶת־'et-H853restoredוָאָשִׁ֣יבָהva.'a.Shi.vahH7725to themשָּׁ֗םShamH8033,along with the grain offeringsהַמִּנְחָ֖הha.min.ChahH4503and frankincenseוְהַלְּבוֹנָֽה׃ פve.ha.le.vo.NahH3828.

10I also learnedוָאֵ֣דְעָ֔הva.'E.de.'AhH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588because the portionsמְנָי֥וֹתme.na.YotH4521for the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֖םhal.vi.YimH3881had notלֹ֣אlo'H3808been given to themנִתָּ֑נָהni.Ta.nahH5414,allאִישׁ־'ish-H376the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֥םhal.vi.YimH3881and singersוְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖יםve.ham.sho.re.RimH7891responsible for performingעֹשֵׂ֥י'o.SeiH6213the serviceהַמְּלָאכָֽה׃ha.me.la.KhahH4399had gone backוַיִּבְרְח֧וּvai.yiv.re.ChuH1272to their own fieldsלְשָׂדֵ֛הוּle.sa.De.huH7704.

11So I rebukedוָאָרִ֙יבָה֙va.'a.Ri.vahH7378אֶת־'et-H854the officialsהַסְּגָנִ֔יםha.se.ga.NimH5461and askedוָאֹ֣מְרָ֔הva.'O.me.RahH559, “Whyמַדּ֖וּעַma.Du.a'H4069has the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430been neglectedנֶעֱזַ֣בne.'e.ZavH5800?”Then I gathered the Levites and singers togetherוָֽאֶ֨קְבְּצֵ֔םva.'Ek.be.TzemH6908and stationed themוָֽאַעֲמִדֵ֖םva.'a.'a.mi.DemH5975atעַל־'al-H5921their postsעָמְדָֽם׃'a.me.DamH5977,

12and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063broughtהֵבִ֜יאוּhe.Vi.'uH935a tenthמַעְשַׂ֧רma'.SarH4643of the grainהַדָּגָ֛ןha.da.GanH1715,new wineוְהַתִּיר֥וֹשׁve.ha.ti.Ro.oshH8492,and oilוְהַיִּצְהָ֖רve.hai.yitz.HarH3323into the storeroomsלָאוֹצָרֽוֹת׃la.'o.tza.RotH214.

13I appointed as treasurersוָאוֹצְרָ֣הva.'otz.RahH686overעַל־'al-H5921the storeroomsא֠וֹצָרוֹת'o.tza.rotH214Shelemiahשֶׁלֶמְיָ֨הshe.lem.YahH8018the priestהַכֹּהֵ֜ןha.ko.HenH3548,Zadokוְצָד֣וֹקve.tza.DokH6659the scribeהַסּוֹפֵ֗רha.so.FerH5608,and Pedaiahוּפְדָיָה֙u.fe.da.YahH6305ofמִן־min-H4480the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881,with Hananחָנָ֥ןcha.NanH2605sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Zaccurזַכּ֖וּרza.KurH2139,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Mattaniahמַתַּנְיָ֑הma.tan.YahH4983,to assistוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921themיָדָ֔םya.DamH3027,becauseכִּ֤יkiH3588they were consideredנֶחְשָׁ֔בוּnech.Sha.vuH2803trustworthyנֶאֱמָנִים֙ne.'e.ma.NimH539.They were responsible forוַעֲלֵיהֶ֖םva.'a.lei.HemH5921distributing the suppliesלַחֲלֹ֥קla.cha.LokH2505to their fellowלַאֲחֵיהֶֽם׃ פla.'a.chei.HemH251Levites.
