2So Adoni-zedek and his people were greatlyמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966alarmedוַיִּֽירְא֣וּvai.yi.re.'UH3372,becauseכִּ֣יkiH3588Gibeonגִּבְע֔וֹןgiv.'onH1391wasa greatגְּדוֹלָה֙ge.do.LahH1419cityעִ֤יר'irH5892,like oneכְּאַחַ֖תke.'a.ChatH259of the royalהַמַּמְלָכָ֑ה וְכִ֨יha.mam.la.Khah ve.KhiH4467 H3588citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892;itהִ֤יאhi'H1931was largerגְדוֹלָה֙ge.do.LahH1419thanמִן־min-H4480Aiהָעַ֔יha.'AiH5857,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605its menאֲנָשֶׁ֖יהָ'a.na.Shei.haH582were mightyגִּבֹּרִֽים׃gi.bo.RimH1368.

8The LORDיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091, “Do notאַל־'al-H408be afraidתִּירָ֣אti.Ra'H3372of them,forכִּ֥יkiH3588I have delivered themנְתַתִּ֑יםne.ta.TimH5414into your handבְיָדְךָ֖ve.ya.de.KhaH3027.Notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808oneאִ֛ישׁ'ishH376of themshall standיַעֲמֹ֥דya.'a.ModH5975against youבְּפָנֶֽיךָ׃be.fa.Nei.khaH6440.”
