18But a young manנַ֔עַרNa.'arH5288did seeוַיַּ֤רְאvai.Yar'H7200themאֹתָם֙'o.TamH853and toldוַיַּגֵּ֖דvai.ya.GedH5046Absalomלְאַבְשָׁלֹ֑םle.'av.sha.LomH53.So the twoשְׁנֵיהֶ֨םshe.nei.HemH8147leftוַיֵּלְכוּ֩vai.ye.le.KhuH1980quicklyמְהֵרָ֜הme.he.RahH4120and cameוַיָּבֹ֣אוּ׀vai.ya.Vo.'uH935toאֶל־'el-H413the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376in Bahurimבְּבַחוּרִ֗יםbe.va.chu.RimH980. He hada wellבְאֵ֛רve.'ErH875in his courtyardבַּחֲצֵר֖וֹba.cha.tze.RoH2691,and they climbed downוַיֵּ֥רְדוּvai.Ye.re.duH3381into itשָֽׁם׃ShamH8033.

19Then the man’s wifeהָאִשָּׁ֗הha.'i.ShahH802tookוַתִּקַּ֣חva.ti.KachH3947אֶת־'et-H853a coveringהַמָּסָךְ֙ha.ma.soKhH4539,spreadוַתִּפְרֹ֤שׂva.tif.RosH6566it overעַל־'al-H5921the mouthפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of the wellהַבְּאֵ֔רha.be.'ErH875,and scatteredוַתִּשְׁטַ֥חva.tish.TachH7849grainהָֽרִפ֑וֹתha.ri.FotH7383over itעָלָ֖יו'a.LavH5921so nobodyוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808would knowנוֹדַ֖עno.Da'H3045a thingדָּבָֽר׃da.VarH1697.

20When Absalom’sאַבְשָׁל֨וֹם'av.sha.LomH53servantsעַבְדֵי֩'av.DeiH5650cameוַיָּבֹ֣אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935toאֶֽל־'el-H413the womanהָאִשָּׁ֜הha.'i.ShahH802at the houseהַבַּ֗יְתָהha.Bay.tahH1004,they askedוַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙vai.yo.me.RuH559, “Whereאַיֵּ֗ה'ai.YehH346are Ahimaazאֲחִימַ֙עַץ֙'a.chi.Ma.'atzH290and Jonathanוִיה֣וֹנָתָ֔ןvi.Ho.na.TanH3083?” “They have crossed overעָבְר֖וּ'a.ve.RuH5674the brookמִיכַ֣ל הַמָּ֑יִםmi.Khal ha.Ma.yimH4323 H4325,”sheהָֽאִשָּׁ֔הha.'i.ShahH802repliedוַתֹּ֤אמֶרva.To.merH559.The men searchedוַיְבַקְשׁוּ֙vay.vak.ShuH1245but did notוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808findמָצָ֔אוּma.Tza.'uH4672them,so they returnedוַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּvai.ya.Shu.vuH7725to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ סye.ru.sha.LimH3389.
