13And Davidדָּוִ֗דda.VidH1732inquiredוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559ofאֶל־'el-H413the young manהַנַּ֙עַר֙ha.Na.'arH5288who had brought him the reportהַמַּגִּ֣ידha.ma.GidH5046, “Whereאֵ֥י מִזֶּ֖ה'ei mi.ZehH335 H2088are you fromאָ֑תָּה'A.tahH859?” “I am the sonבֶּן־ אִ֛ישׁben- 'ishH1121 H376of a foreignerגֵּ֥רgerH1616,”he answeredוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559. “I amאָנֹֽכִי׃'a.No.khiH595an Amalekiteעֲמָלֵקִ֖י'a.mal.KiH6003.”

14So Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732askedוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559himאֵלָ֖יו'e.LavH413, “Whyאֵ֚יךְ'eikhH349were you notלֹ֣אlo'H3808afraidיָרֵ֔אתָya.Re.taH3372to liftלִשְׁלֹ֙חַ֙lish.Lo.achH7971your handיָֽדְךָ֔ya.de.KhaH3027to destroyלְשַׁחֵ֖תle.sha.ChetH7843אֶת־'et-H853the LORD’sיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068anointedמְשִׁ֥יחַme.Shi.achH4899?”

15Then Davidדָוִ֗דda.VidH1732summonedוַיִּקְרָ֣אvai.yik.Ra'H7121oneלְאַחַד֙le.'a.ChadH259of the young menמֵֽהַנְּעָרִ֔יםme.ha.ne.'a.RimH5288and saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Goגַּ֣שׁgashH5066,executeפְּגַע־pe.ga'-H6293him!”So the young man struck him downוַיַּכֵּ֖הוּvai.ya.Ke.huH5221,and he diedוַיָּמֹֽת׃vai.ya.MotH4191.

16For Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732had saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the Amalekiteאֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413, “Your bloodדָּמְךָ֖da.mei.khaH1818beonעַל־'al-H5921your own headרֹאשֶׁ֑ךָro.She.khaH7218becauseכִּ֣יkiH3588your own mouthפִ֗יךָFi.khaH6310has testifiedעָנָ֤ה'a.NahH6030against you,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘Iאָנֹכִ֥י'a.no.KhiH595killedמֹתַ֖תִּיmo.Ta.tiH4191אֶת־'et-H853the LORD’sיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068anointedמְשִׁ֥יחַme.Shi.achH4899.’”
