Malachi 3

1Behold, I sendH7971 my messengerH4397, and he shall prepare the wayH1870 before me: and the Lord, whom ye seekH1245, will suddenlyH6597 comeH935 to his templeH1964; and the messengerH4397 of the covenantH1285, whom ye desire, behold, he cometh, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635. 2But who can abide the dayH3117 of his comingH935? and who shall standH5975 when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fireH784, and like fullers’ soapH1287: 3and he will sitH3427 as a refiner and purifier of silverH3701, and he will purifyH2891 the sonsH1121 of LeviH3878, and refineH6884 them as goldH2091 and silverH3701; and they shall offer unto Jehovah offeringsH4503 in righteousnessH6666. 4Then shall the offeringH4503 of JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389 be pleasant unto Jehovah, as in the daysH3117 of old, and as in ancient yearsH8141. 5And I will come near to you to judgmentH4941; and I will beH1961 a swift witnessH5707 against the sorcerersH3784, and against the adulterersH5003, and against the false swearers, and against those that oppressH6231 the hireling in his wagesH7939, the widowH490, and the fatherlessH3490, and that turnH5186 asideH5186 the sojournerH1616 from his rightH4941, and fearH3372 not me, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635. 6For I, Jehovah, change not; therefore ye, O sonsH1121 of JacobH3290, are not consumed.

7From the daysH3117 of your fathersH1 ye have turnedH7725 asideH5493 from mine ordinances, and have not keptH8104 them. ReturnH7725 unto me, and I will returnH7725 unto you, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635. But ye sayH559, Wherein shall we returnH7725? 8Will a manH120 robH6906 GodH430? yet ye robH6906 me. But ye sayH559, Wherein have we robbedH6906 thee? In tithesH4643 and offerings. 9Ye are cursedH779 with the curseH779; for ye robH6906 me, even this whole nationH1471. 10BringH935 ye the whole titheH4643 into the store-house, that there may beH1961 foodH2964 in my houseH1004, and prove me now herewith, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635, if I will not openH6605 you the windowsH699 of heavenH8064, and pour you out a blessingH1293, that there shall not beH1961 room enough to receive it. 11And I will rebukeH1605 the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroyH7843 the fruitsH6529 of your groundH127; neither shall your vineH1612 cast its fruitH6529 before the time in the fieldH7704, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635. 12And all nationsH1471 shall callH833 you happy; for ye shall beH1961 a delightsome landH776, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635.

13Your wordsH1697 have been stout against me, saith Jehovah. Yet ye sayH559, What have we spokenH1696 against thee? 14Ye have saidH559, It is vain to serveH5647 GodH430; and what profitH1215 is it that we have keptH8104 his chargeH4931, and that we have walkedH1980 mournfully before Jehovah of hostsH6635? 15and nowH6258 we callH833 the proud happy; yea, they that work wickednessH7564 are builtH1129 up; yea, they tempt GodH430, and escapeH4422.

16ThenH227 they that fearedH3372 Jehovah spake oneH376 with another; and Jehovah hearkened, and heardH8085, and a bookH5612 of remembranceH2146 was writtenH3789 before him, for them that fearedH3372 Jehovah, and that thought upon his nameH8034. 17And they shall beH1961 mine, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635, even mine own possessionH5459, in the dayH3117 that I makeH6213; and I will spareH2550 them, as a manH376 spareth his own sonH1121 that serveth him. 18Then shall ye returnH7725 and discern between the righteousH6662 and the wickedH7563, between him that serveth GodH430 and him that serveth him not.
