Jeremiah 40:2-5
And the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 tookH3947 JeremiahH3414, and saidH559 unto him, the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 pronouncedH1696 this evilH7451 uponH413 this placeH4725:
and the LORDH3068 hath broughtH935 it, and doneH6213 according as he spake; becauseH3588 ye have sinnedH2398 againstH2398 the LORDH3068, and have notH3808 obeyedH8085 his voiceH6963, therefore this thingH1697 is comeH935 uponH935 youH834.
And nowH6258, beholdH2009, I looseH5921 thee this dayH3117 from the chainsH246 whichH834 are uponH5921 thine handH3027. IfH518 it seemH5869 goodH2896 unto thee to comeH935 with meH413 intoH413 BabylonH894, comeH935, and I will lookH2009 wellH2896 unto thee: but ifH518 it seemH5869 ill unto thee to comeH935 with meH413 intoH413 BabylonH894, forbear: beholdH2009, allH3605 the landH776 is beforeH6440 thee; whither it seemeth goodH2896 and convenient unto thee to goH935, thither goH935.
NowH7227 whileH5750 he was notH3808 yet goneH7725 backH7725, GoH7971 backH7725 then, saidH413 he, to GedaliahH1436 the sonH1121 of AhikamH296, the sonH1121 of ShaphanH8227, whomH834 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 hath madeH5414 governor over the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and dwellH3427 with him among the peopleH5971: or goH7971 wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to goH7971. SoH7971 the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 gaveH5414 him victuals and a presentH5414, and letH7971 him goH7971.
