17Then saidH559 JeremiahH3414 unto ZedekiahH6667, ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: IfH518 thou wilt goH3318 forthH3318 unto the kingH4428 of Babylon’sH894 princesH8269, then thy soulH5315 shall liveH2421, and this cityH5892 shall notH3808 be burnedH8313 with fireH784; and thou shalt liveH2421, and thine houseH1004:
18But ifH518 thou wilt notH3808 goH3318 forthH3318 to the kingH4428 of Babylon’sH894 princesH8269, then shall this cityH5892 be givenH5414 intoH413 the handH3027 of the ChaldeansH3778, and they shall burnH8313 it with fireH784, and thou shalt notH3808 escapeH4422 outH3318 of their handH3027.
19And ZedekiahH6667 the kingH4428 saidH559 unto JeremiahH3414, I am afraid of the JewsH3064 that are fallenH5307 awayH5307 to the ChaldeansH3778, lestH6435 they deliverH5414 meH413 intoH413 their handH3027, and they mock meH413.
