Jeremiah 37:12-21
12then JeremiahH3414 wentH3318 forthH3318 outH3318 of JerusalemH3389 to goH3318 intoH8432 the landH776 of BenjaminH1144, to receive his portion there, in the midstH8432 of the peopleH5971. 13And when he was in the gateH8179 of BenjaminH1144, a captainH1167 of the ward was there, whoseH1121 nameH8034 was IrijahH3376, the sonH1121 of ShelemiahH8018, the sonH1121 of HananiahH2608; and he laid holdH8610 on JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030, sayingH559, Thou fallest awayH5307 to the ChaldeansH3778. 14Then saidH559 JeremiahH3414, It is falseH8267; I fallH5307 notH3808 awayH5307 to the ChaldeansH3778; but he hearkened notH3808 to him: soH3808 IrijahH3376 laidH935 holdH8610 on JeremiahH3414, and broughtH935 him to the princesH8269. 15And the princesH8269 were wroth with JeremiahH3414, and smoteH5221 him, and putH5414 him in prisonH3608 in the houseH1004 of JonathanH3083 the scribeH5608; for they had madeH6213 that the prisonH3608. 16When JeremiahH3414 was comeH935 intoH413 the dungeon houseH1004, and intoH413 the cells, and JeremiahH3414 had remainedH3427 there manyH7227 daysH3117; 17Then ZedekiahH6667 the kingH4428 sentH7971, and fetched him: and the kingH4428 askedH7592 him secretly in his houseH1004, and saidH559, Is there anyH3426 wordH1697 from the LORDH3068? And JeremiahH3414 saidH559, There is. He saidH559 also, Thou shalt be deliveredH5414 intoH3027 the handH3027 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894. 18Moreover JeremiahH3414 saidH559 unto kingH4428 ZedekiahH6667, Wherein have I sinnedH2398 againstH413 thee, or againstH413 thy servantsH5650, or againstH413 this peopleH5971, that ye have putH5414 meH413 in prisonH3608? 19WhereH834 nowH935 are your prophetsH5030 whichH834 prophesiedH5012 unto youH834, sayingH559, The kingH4428 of BabylonH894 shall notH3808 comeH935 againstH5921 youH834, norH3808 againstH5921 this landH776? 20And nowH6258 hearH8085, I prayH4994 thee, O my lordH113 the kingH4428: letH4994 my supplicationH8467, I prayH4994 thee, be acceptedH8085 beforeH6440 thee; that thou causeH7725 meH4994 notH3808 to returnH7725 to the houseH1004 of JonathanH3083 the scribeH5608, lest I dieH4191 there. 21Then ZedekiahH6667 the kingH4428 commandedH6680, and they committedH6485 JeremiahH3414 intoH5414 the courtH2691 of the guardH4307, and they gaveH5414 him dailyH3117 a loafH3603 of breadH3899 outH4480 of the bakers’H644 streetH2351, untilH5704 allH3605 the breadH3899 in the cityH5892 was spentH8552. Thus JeremiahH3414 remainedH3427 in the courtH2691 of the guardH4307.
